I recently visited La Casa De Los Tacos in Secaucus with my book writer and lawyer, hoping for an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered the Tacos de El Pastor, which are supposed to be juicy, reddish-brown, and served with pineapple. Instead, the meat tasted overcooked and dry, as if it had been baked in an oven rather than sliced fresh from the spit.
To make matters worse, the busboy (or helper) was openly laughing and agreeing that the tacos were not prepared properly, saying they should be sliced fresh, not baked. This unprofessional attitude was off-putting.
The owner was rude and nasty throughout our visit. Even when I asked for a spoon for my coffee, she only gave us forks and butter knives, and when I asked again, she rudely told me to wait—despite the restaurant being nearly empty. This level of poor service made the experience even worse.
Overall, I do not recommend this place and will not be returning. I hope they take steps to improve both their food quality and customer service. The first picture is how tacos de el pastor should be not the second one like hers all dryed and disgusting 🤮 taste never again will I come here sorry. Worst experience ever and super rude owner and her staff except her busboy who was agreeing it was all wrong and was laughing at her as well. Lmao 🤣 food has no flavor and your not supposed to put tacos de el pastor on the oven I can tell u don’t know anything about tacos. I’ll try to post my pictures later because it’s not letting me but it was so...
Read moreHey the food is pretty good, this is my 3-4 time in the restaurant but my last experience was literally the worst.. I make my order (by the way I was VERY CLEAR) with what I wanted and how I wanted.. when the food was served they bring 2 out of 3 plates that we ordered wrong and when I try to spoke w the server and tell him my order were wrong the manager or the owner (I don’t really know who she is) came to the table telling me that I never told her how I wanted MY FOOD, I’m trying to be respectful with this lady and told her “ma’am I told you I want such and such this way” she goes to the kitchen and came back again to the table WITH AN ATTITUDE… TELLING ME… “OH NEXT TIME YOU HAVE BE MORE SPECIFIC WITH WANT YOU WANT”… my answer was “MA’AM I CLEARLY TOLD YOU WHAT I WANTED AND HOW I WANTED” and this lady SO UNPROFESSIONAL START TRYING TO GO BACK AND FORTH WITH ME… after going back and forth for a few minutes I just tell her “LISTEN YOU CAN TAKE THE FOOD BACK I DONT WANT IT ANYMORE JUST DONT FIX THE ORDER”
The point here is that the service was terrible and unprofessional! I used to love the food here but sadly with this type of service MY FRIENDS AND I WOULD NEVER COME BACK TO...
Read moreThe owner is extremely cheap. I ordered a burrito bowl and I asked for a little extra rice and little extra beans so she charged me for the extra rice and extra beans but yet I got the same size burrito bowl. But when it’s the workers that take my order, I actually get a bigger burrito bowl and she’s trying to blame the employees that are giving away her food for free. No it’s that you’re being cheap and charging an extreme amount of money. $40 for a small container of rice and beans and a little chicken, which is a burrito ball and a side of guac and chips. That’s literally robbery. Never going back there ever again. I wouldn’t either, she was actually nasty about it too and argued with me as opposed to be like oh I’m so sorry you know that you’re right let me give you a little extra since I charged you for it. As opposed to saying oh we pay a lot of money for this food. I don’t know how they’re still in business running a restaurant like that. Of course her reasoning for the food being so expensive is that food is expensive and it’s homemade and fresh. Meanwhile, after I got home. The guacamole was...
