The City of Sedalia's Facebook page sent me to Volker's with plenty of people saying it's a must stop.
They were absolutely correct! Volker's is doing things their way which is fresh, quality, and a spin on dishes they like.
We had to try their "Crab Rangoon Dip" Toasted Brown Wonton Chips with some coarse salt and this Rangoon cheese dip. The flavors here stopped the conversation at out table. This is brilliant and demanded our attention. 9.2
We tried their Mozzarella Sticks which were big cheese pillows with perfect fried panko breading. Soft creamy a hint of salt Mozzarella. Very tasty! 9.1
Their Wavy Fries stole the show for me, yes fries won me over. They look like wavvy potato chips, with soft fluffy interior. Seasoned well and dipped in their V-Sauce Forgett-about-it 🤌 9.6
Scorching Sweet Chx Quesadilla Another dish, sounds basic with a fancy name. You'd be wrong like we were. Their food is seasoned to the Gods but done in a perfect way. As a Foodie I could taste their top priority forn the meals. They know every single bite matters. This roasted salsa it comes with has some serious heat, it won't melt your face but it reminds you they could've. Cool it down with the delicious ranch and it pairs perfect for the quesadilla. They honestly crushed this. 9.4
Volker's takes pride in their establishment a very impressive restaurant, gorgeous bar with plenty of options for beer an impressive line up of liquor with great decor. Truly a spot I will visit again when in the area.
The staff you can tell they enjoy their job all smiles and attentive.
Bravo! Always love when a place makes you feel like they appreciate you and want to blow you away for an hour while you dine....
Read moreThis is the second time we visited. the first time was awful, but we figured it's just opening, let the kinks work out and give them a chance... Let's start with the positive- the atmosphere is cool. There is a tv anywhere you look, however during our lunch there was only black screens starting back at us.
On this lunch visit, there were 7 tables with customers and 2 waitresses. It took 30 minutes to get two iced teas. I'm just glad we were there casually and not on a lunch break, because it was over an hour before we got our food which was inedible. The chicken tenders were the texture of rock. It was as if they cooked the tenders the night before and then recooked them for us for lunch. They were inedible. The bacon on the burger was old with a sour "wang," which seeped into the whole burger.
I'm sure she didn't even notice my look of disgust when she served my plate of nearly black chicken tenders. i would never have served that- i nearly choked on the piece i tried to swallow. Then the waitress never checked on us again, so i had no tea to even try to choke anything down.
to top it all off, the waitress never smiled - only huffed and put off the vibe that she didn't even want to be at work and that we were an inconvenience. this part i can look past because anyone can have a bad day and become overwhelmed.

Read moreMy husband and I went here for lunch, he ordered the 'MERICA BURGER AND FRIES, when asked if he could possibly substitute the Colby jack cheese for swiss the waitress informed him that the only cheese they had was Colby and pepper jack. He also requested no pickle yet they put it on his plate anyway. I ordered the CHEESESTEAK WRAP with extra veggies meaning the grilled onions, mushrooms, green peppers and lettuce; when the waitress brought it, the only extra veggie on it was lettuce; it came with these kettle chips which had little or no seasoning and were practically burnt. Both meals came with this, Volker's sauce "V Sauce" and when I asked what it was; the waitress compared it to 'Mac Sauce,' it was nothing like that, to me it taste like ketchup mixed with mayo and looks like it as well. We did order GAME DAY NATCHOS, as an appetizer, aside from going skimpy on the meat they were the only thing we ordered that we enjoyed. Overall I give the whole experience 3/5 the waitress was kind. We paid over $50.00 not including the tip. The meals were $13 a piece the appetizer cost $14 the drinks did not come with the meals and cost $3.50 each (Root Beer and Mellow Yellow). To be honest for the price you'll get better tasting foods from Burger King nextdoor and cheaper...
