Food is always good, never really had bad food at this location. The service isn't bad either, just not as receptive or attentive at night as one would hope for the price you pay to eat at Arby's but not horrible either. Atmosphere however is something to be desired, it's in a bad location already being in Seaford; but being the capstone fast-food joint @ Stein Highway's genesis (or termination respectively!) on the north-bound side of 13 - but MOREOVER - all of that AND being a building whose real-estate co-habitates ajacently proxy to & with Motel 6 / sharing an odd & circuitous parking lot... with all of that said atmosphere is blunted at best by the time you enter the establishment and the inside isn't as dazzling as it once was decades on from the last makeover from corporate Even inside the restaurant there is an aire of blaisé non-chalance all around that when you consider a summary of the entire experience, I'd be inclined to say it feels very "West Baltimore Gas & Slurp..."
Sorry Big Cowboy Hat brand (Arby's!), you underperform! For all of your over-priced food promising over-satisfaction from products of supreme quality of stock; I am overly underwhelmed for the overly-paid sticker price of your products...
Tell me how this sounds: "Here's a great idea, shrink the chicken breast patty that you use to create your chicken bacon swiss! It's got to be thinner and it's gotta weigh considerably less! Oh yeah and don't forget to make it so crispy that you hear it snap EVERY bite & crumble!
Now, determine for yourself if this is bad advice or good advice - then think about how many times you have done this over the years to arrive at the potato chip thin chicken breast you guys use for your chicken bacon Swiss NOW - vs. 2004-ish when it was your flagship! Then ask yourselves how you don't feel guilty at charging damn near $10 for something that barely has 25 cents worth of material...
Read moreI've been stopping into the Arby's off and on during my trips to and from Philly over the years. It's pretty much the half way point for me and is a great location for a pitstop. The business located just over the MD/DE state line in Selbyville, DE.
In my experiences here the place is always clean even when busy. While I've never seen it to capacity I have seen it just about half full. Depends on the time of the day you come in. The food has always been well prepared and is hot and fresh whether I've gone inside or used their drive-thru. They can be a little slow sometimes, but from what I can tell everything is pretty much made to order. I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for fresh food at all.
On my most recent visit a little over a week ago we (mom was traveling with me) stopped in around 1pm and they were still on the back end of their lunch rush. Even with 4-5 folks in front of me I don't think I was in line more than 10-12 minutes waiting to make my order. I has a classic chicken with curly fries. Mom had a chicken sandwich as well with bacon and swiss. After making the order we waited 6-7 minutes for the food and they called me over to the counter when it was ready. While I was waiting I made us drinks at the soda bar. Mixed a Coca-Cola with Orange. Mmmmm
We enjoyed our lunches and the AC and the visit probably lasted about 45 minutes or so. It was just a nice relaxed meal before hitting the road back...
Read moreA delightful stop and go Arbys at the Delmar border that was quiet, clean, and served hot and fresh food!
We shared the Deluxe Wagyu Steakburger meal with curly fries and coke. The burger itself is a solid burger with meat you could tell was above average for typical fastfood quality. The red onions, potato bun, and thousand island sauce were nice compliments as well. We weren't huge fans of the pickle but also agreed it didn't detract. The only minus was the shredded lettuce; we agree with many other reviews before us that this burger needed whole leaf lettuce instead.
The curly fries are tasty as well. We tried all the sauces too just for fun. (The horsey sauce was our favorite with the curly fries.)
What stood out as outstanding at this particular location was how clean it was from top to bottom--clean bathrooms, clean floors and tables, and clean self-service drink and sauce station. Definitely not typical of what first comes to mind when you tell people you went to an Arby's!
Easy 5 out of 5 experience! Will come back...
