What a nice little convenience, candy, and ice cream shop. They have a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from and the variety is what I have come to expect from paleterias. I really enjoy unique flavors, or at least ones that I consider unique from a traditional American aspect. This little shop has a lot to choose from besides ice cream, including a lot of little gifts and such. You will have to excuse the photo as it was about 100 degrees and I was hungry while I drove a little before I stopped to take the pic. New flavors to me, Pinguino, which is a sweet cream base with chocolate brownie gently folded in. The brownie bits are more cake, in consistency, as opposed to the denser fudgy consistency in standard American ice creams. I liked the change. The other was Nance, which is a yellow cherry. In a vanilla base with the coarsely chopped yellow cherries folded in. This was a such a nice delicate taste. Beware - cherry pits are likely, so eat slowly and with caution. I didn't mind them too much as I was able to gnaw on them a little to get all the cherry flesh before spitting them pits. Definitely not something I would serve to small children, but it was very refreshing...
Read moreFirst of all this ice cream shop has the worst customer service every time customers walking in it seems like they don’t want to greet them at all. They give horrible attitude, and they also make weird faces/mean faces towards people. This used to be my favorite place because of the fresas con crema however, last time I went, the fruit tasted like it was expired. It also seems like they get very bitchy whenever people order. However, on this specific day, I went with friends and we both got an item however she got a mangonada and there was plastic in the cup, and we didn’t notice until she took out the Chamoy stick. It literally looks like it was plastic from a glove or plastic from their area, which means that they don’t have a clean and sanitized area. I feel like if people want a job in the presence of customer service, they shouldn’t have attitude towards clients. If they can’t deal with people, they shouldn’t even be in the...
Read moreThe number of times my friends and I have gone to a place to either order food or get something off the menu, only to be told they’re out of that specific item, is honestly frustrating. What makes it even worse is when, after being told they’ve run out, we sit there and watch other people come in, order the exact same thing we asked for, and actually receive it without any issue. It’s not just a one-time situation—it’s happened multiple times, and at this point, it feels like we’re being singled out or just not taken seriously as customers. Whether it’s poor communication, favoritism, or something else entirely, it’s disappointing and makes us not want to go back. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly and to get the same level of service, especially when we’re paying the same price as...
