I used to love Crooked Row Produce. I thought they were this awesome business that I could support, and shopping there meant supporting my hometown. I guess I was wrong. The prices are a little high, but I felt like I was supporting a great and noble cause, which is a small town feel and pretty much all healthy options. Recently, my mind was changed by their manager, and l left there crying. She refused to acknowledge that their product could be flawed, even though it is and I still have the product for proof. She just showed no care whatsoever for my bad experience. For $100 shopping trips and frequent shopping trips, a $9 jar of hot pickles could have at least been acknowledged as a bad product. If a child had bit into one of these pickles, they would have been crying. These things were inedible. I bit the top pickle one time and felt like a hole was literally burning through my tongue. It was a fluke pickle, fluke jar, because the manager said, "her husband eats them" and "yeah, he said they were hot." That's after I told her that his daddy, pointing at my son, could not even eat them. He tried the same pickle I did, once. He said it burned all the way down in his stomach, and for a good while. For a man that eats super spicy, volcano level products, he agreed that they are not okay for consumption. This was a painful experience and the pickles were really soft to start off with. The manager was condescending and ignored me first off like I was talking to myself. I explained myself well, in detail how I had to chug from a gallon of milk to stop the pain. My husband had to dig into a loaf of bread to stop the burning, for goodness sakes! They're too hot to even chop up and use a slice at the time. What about the next customer that gets one like that? The woman said that she "would not do anything about it." I am still hoping that the owner will make it right. I am just a pregnant woman that wanted a pickle, and now I won't even be taking my son there for ice cream. I would rather shop at the big chain stores at this point. At least they acknowledge faulty products. I have never used an EBT card at crooked row, just hard...
Read moreI started giving them business in the summer of 2023 when they began offering fresh milk. Between milk and a few other items I spent over $100 in 3 weeks with them. Every cashier except one charged me deposits on my bottles even though I returned the bottles every time. A younger lady even gave me $3 dollars back when I returned 3 bottles, telling me that 2 of them I would get $1.50 each and the 3rd one canceled out? What does that even mean? That you get to pocket my $6? I didn’t take time to argue because I had to go back to work. From what I understand milk should have been around $6 per bottle and every time they still charged me around $9. This is the 4th time I have edited my review or deleted it, and made a new one, and it took the 3rd edit and almost a year before the owner responded with their phone number. She responded with her phone number in June 2024 and I waited until December 2024 to call her. At least 3 call attempts, not all of them on the same day, I left a message and still no answer or call back. The way they have made me feel at this point and time, if I was to create a motto for them, it would be, “If you have a problem, we don’t need...
Read moreNormally don't make negative reviews but I got to be honest about this place when I brought a concern to the two ladies that work there they jump down that throat and made comments about how it was something I must have done wrong. Bought some fruit and a $17 glass bottle of heavy cream. So excited to use it when I got home it was solid sludge tried shaking it vigorously to no avail. They chewed me out for not thoroughly washing the bottle when I tried to return it lol I told him they could keep it. The fruit was actually awful I thought that it was going to be awesome I was so happy about a fruit stand but I enjoy the organic fruit from food Lion much better than the fruit that they sell here....
