Big Lots — Local services in Selma

The store is physically appealing. I visited the store to see if I could get a piece of furniture. We looked around to see which was best and eventually decided on one. I am walking around looking for an employee and due to him facing the opposite way I am thinking of a polite way to get his attention and making sure he works there. I ask “do you work here” as he turns around. He mocked me and said “this mans just said did I work here” as we proceeded to walk back repeatedly. I was telling him my perspective and he kept mocking me. My brother heard it and asked me about it, to which he even found uncalled for. Now, I look at the store policy. Masks are still required, and he is visibly laughing at me which he cannot hide very well since he isn’t wearing his properly. I brush it off. At this point, I just want my couch and then leave. My mother found one she liked, and we tried to purchase it (she doesn’t speak English very well). He was mocking her English by speaking broken English. We let him know the couch we were interested in, he said he would be right back. 15 minutes pass by as my family is shopping and checking up on me as I waited in the area. Another employee came up to me asking if everything was alright (which I appreciated as he made sure I was not in need of assistance).
