TLDR don't stop here unless they change their mentality.
So I want to start off by saying I hadn't been to this location in 3 or 4 months. I will not be back until the frontline staff is swapped out or a change in management staff i'm not sure which is the problem. I went there with my father to get food, I ordered a 5 piece mild tender he ordered a 2 piece white. The man running the register didn't say hi, how are you, nothing, just stared at us until we ordered. Once we ordered he just handed us the receipt and cups and said nothing. At this point I thought okay 1 employee no big deal I work with the public as well and I get it. Well they call out for our order after about 15 mins and inform my father his is done, but they're still waiting on the tenders. That's fine it's lunch time traffic and that sucks in the food business and I wasn't in a hurry at this point. Well after 20 more mins I finally go up to the counter. The lady next to me who was a grubhub driver had waited 15 mins before anyone would speak to her so that she could get the 1 mobile order that was behind the counter. I had asked her the time since I left my phone at the table so I could see how long it had been and at this point I had waited 45 mins for food and others in the store who were ahead of me were taken care of. The lady stated that she hated to pick up orders there because every time she was treated like (insert explicative). When she finally got someones attention they acted like it was the biggest inconvenience to walk LITERALLY 3 feet grab the bag to hand to her. Then finally a young lady behind the counter asks me "what do you need?". I told her I still didn't have my order, she asks my name on the order which nobody had asked for at the register so I knew it wasn't on it, and apparently me saying that and giving more order number didn't put her in a better mood. She informs me my food still isn't ready that they are waiting on fries, that's the cool part I didn't even order any fries! She walks away after that statement before I can say anything. The only saving grace in this encounter was that a young man i'm not sure if he came off his lunch or was coming into work. But he came in and goes behind the counter and immediately goes "sir is there anything I can help you with?" I stated that I had waited 45 by this point almost 50 mins for my food that at that point I'd just take any chicken whatsoever of equivalent value. He profusely apologized (wasn't his fault) and said i'll take care of you right away. The young lady from before at this point goes your food is ready now... and then shoves it all in a bag an hands it to me with no apology for my wait or sorry for the inconvenience. The young man who had no part in any of this however continued to and offered a desert to make up for it.
I know fast food is tough and i've done customer service for 16 years and know that not every day is sunshine and rainbows but for me and the lady next to me who had done nothing wrong to be treated so poorly for doing nothing other than being a customer just isn't right. It is the only time i've ever thought of telling other people in line that they'd be better of just leaving. The two people at the main counter who obviously couldn't care less about their job need to either quit or be fired, and the young man that stepped up, I may have only got a glimpse of his best moment but in my eyes he was the only remotely redeeming part of the issue. I wish I had a business card on me at the time because I would've genuinely offered him the opportunity to work for me just due to that, unfortunately I was so irritated I just left after I got the food.
In fairness to who seemed to be the manager on duty I could see her in the back busting her ....trying to keep up with the orders and as a manager I owe her some
All that to say I won't be going back here anytime in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never been to a restaurant in Smithfield Selma and the surrounding areas and felt so much love and appreciation. I was greeted with a warm smile and a loving heart as the female asked to take my order through a drive through speaker. In her voice there was tone of loving her profession and the people that make it all possible āthe customersā. Once I placed my order she repeated it back to me, gave me my total, and still with a smile in her voice asked me to drive to the window. At the window I was greeted with yet another female and she greeted me with the same smile on her face and in her voice and love in her heart. She greeted me, told me my total and gave me my order. I felt so loved, welcomed, and appreciated; from both females. It started from the female who took my order and now the female handing me my food. After I received my food I asked to speak to either a manger or supervisor. To my surprise the lady who handed me my food was the manager Trina and was giving her praise and I preceded to ask for the name of the young lady who took my order. After manager Trina gave me the name of the female who took my order āKarenā I precede with my compliment of her and how warm she made me feel. Once, I finished complimenting the other female Karen to manager Trina I learned that Karen was a manager as well. Most fast food restaurants you go to these days the people working there act like you are bothering them and you can hear it in their voice. Tone says a lot rather it be body language or the sound of your voice. I am pleased to leave a 5 āļø rating not for the food because I personally donāt eat Popeyes, but for the service my husband and I received from the two women, Managers Karen and Trina, who were working Dec 22 round 3 pm. Thank you Karen and Trina at Popeyes in Smithfield Selma NC. for offering us way above Excellent...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe, my husband and daughter ate here last week night shift and it was just horrible from the drive through worker who has long braids-glasses and a nasty attitude! She hands the food out of the window halfway looking behind her talking to another worker for the longest time, then we asked for hot sauce which she didnāt give. Had to wait for her to come back to the window she opens it I said can we get some hot sauce and she rolls her eyes around in her head like they have come loose in her skull, all the while blowing like an adult male Buffalo in rut! Because God forbid that anyone pull her away from talking to her coworkers. Now on the food, my husband got a chicken sandwich combo, he started to eating and said OMG this chicken patty is still frozen, both him and my daughter got fries and some of those were still frozen. I ate fried chicken and after a few bites pulled something out of my mouth well it was a hair that had been breaded into the flour for the chicken, it was a human hair very dark and long- NOT MINE!!! This was disgusting and I immediately started dry heaving and spitting. We had to throw all this mess away and go across the street to McDonaldās to eat. It is beyond me how the owners of these businesses let their employees do stuff like this and never know. I would fire them all and clean my house, even if it took me a week to find new workers. In the long run your business canāt survive this, you loose customers and even if you are a chain restaurant you can go under. We use to eat here often but I wonāt be back for a VERY VERY...
