I had a very difficult time deciding how to rate this food truck, or if I even should because I have never had food from the truck.
I was swimming through the deep, rush hour traffic of i35 South with an empty stomach when I felt a tug on my ankle, pulling my foot down, pushing the brake paddle down with it. Then another tug but this time it was from my stomach and this one threatened to drag me down, under the overflowing traffic. Beliving my hunger would soon drowning me and remembering not to fight against the flow, I relaxed my body. My truck slipped smoothly, peacefuly to the edge and then down a dry dirt roadway. I came to a stop, and there was Mia Marco's Pizza Truck. Super ready for a slice, I found my land legs as I walked closer to the truck and it's menu. Unfortunately, there were no options listed for size and when asked, I was told, "only whole pies." Too much for myself, I decided to see what I could find down stream.
Thanks for sailing through my figuratively written tale. Now for the facts. My rating is not based on taste, texture or even timing. These are my reasons for my 4 star review;
Aroma - The smell of a good Italian restaurant hit me before I was out of my truck.
Popularity - Pizza's were being carried out to car after car in stacks (also in boxes).
Selection - Size options are not an option. If I remember correctly, there were 6 - 8 types of pizzas offered. I was impressed by the mix of traditional pizza toppings with ingredients that alone, I would not consider to be adventurous. The clever combinations felt friendly, familiar faintly fancy and far from frumpy.
Staff - Dispite the very short, very blunt declaration of, "Only whole pies." that I received with absolutely no explanations, no excuses and from the look on her face, no expectations of me leaving without a whole pie, the small operation appeared to be ran with an efficiently friendly, family oriented fell.
Desire - I want to go back and next time, I want to taste more than the air.
These are my reasons for not giving the 5th star.
No taste = No 5 star, all day everyday.
No small pies =...
Read moreOrdered on-line through their website at 1:30 for 6:30 pick-up. Got to window at 6:31, three people were working behind the window. Lady was friendly enough but said they don't take on-line orders through the email address that is on their website under "Contact Us" which lists their phone number and email address. Guy with the pizza peel was terribly rude, just said "Sorry dude".
The lady mentioned she could take my order then, which I naturally assumed she could, but it would be a two hour wait. Got other food for the kids at home, they just wouldn't have waited two additional hours. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE.
UPDATE: Response from owner below...same EXACT response that I received at the window from 2 of their 3 employees. Also folks, please note the responses from the owner below on any review that is marginally critical of their pizza or the employees. It's pretty telling. Didn't mean to offend by posting my EXACT experience, just sharing with others what happened.
UPDATE 2: No idea what the owner is talking about below, the only edit was to their reply!! Unlike him/her, I DO have a screen shot. Here it is...
UPDATE 3: My email is there for everyone to see! Nothing to hide. Owner was NOT there. The girl behind the window (your niece) was nice enough. Joe with the pizza peel was terribly rude. You first claimed I never sent an email. Then you claimed I didn't give three hours notice and said I changed my review taking the three hour time window down. None of that happened, that's why I attached the screen shot of my email. You were all just in the wrong and Joe was terribly rude, maybe he was busy, when he said just order now, it'll be 2-hours. That would be a 5-hour wait for three pizzas if you do the math, so I simply walked away and won't be back. It's that simple. Glad you are God fearing people, God fearing people don't insult their customers and anyone who provides real world factual input about their business and experiences. Just learn from this and move on peacefully. Wish you...

A must try and a must to be booked marked.
It's very difficult to complement a business with just a couples of words as mentioned above. Due to such I'm compelled not to either.
Occasionally one sees a business that advertise that they're the BEST or as they have, "World Champions / Awarding winning". The item in this case is pizza. We occasionally smirk at the thought of this self promotion of itself. In addition to thinking how dare they advertise as such and who's palette did they actually impress?
I like to consider myself somewhat of a Connoisseur of pizzas. Myself being from Los Angeles and visiting this wonderful city and state of yours. I have to say I was blown away. I've eaten pizza across the United States and even at a high-end restaurants within Hollywood and Beverly Hills. I've even paid top dollar $45 bucks for a 12 inch pie. I can honestly say that they don't even match the experience and the quality that I had eating from this hole in the wall.
Let me start with how we all eat with our eyes first. Without even tasting it yet the look and smell was euphoric. The crispness of the crust and the ability of it holding its form straight as one holds its beauty prior to taking your first bite was unlike any other pizza I’ve held. Then upon taking your first bite you stop immediately only to hold the slice back in front of your eye to reconfirm what your eating because your tastebuds just exploded with delight. Its obvious that their attention to the quality of their pizzas in addition to cooking them to a perfect golden crust is at its highest quality.
For all of you here living in San Antonio you all are very fortunate to have this pizzeria available to you. The only sad part about my review is that I ate my pizzas without thinking of taking any photos. Once I started I couldn't think of anything else. Thank you once again for an excellent experience and I will be back during this trip...
