Boomarang Diner Seminole — Restaurant in Seminole

Really good comfort food. We had the JJ burger and fries, and the Fish Fry with beans and tator tots. I enjoyed my burger which was perfectly prepared with the grilled onions and jalapenos nicely settled into the pepperjack cheese and the bacon cooked just right - not chewy which will pull it right out of the burger on the first bite, not overly crispy which would just make it fall apart all over. The presentation was simple but just right. My fries were a mixed review. I liked them very much as they were real potatoes well scrubbed, sliced, and deep fried. I salted them to my own taste. My wife would have liked them to be thicker, though. She DID enjoy her tots. The hushpuppies are good... and they're sneaky. Be prepared for a pleasant bite of jalapeno. The beans were the only disappointment. Either they were starting to sour just a bit or they were canned, and they definitely weren't cooked with the ham. Service by waitresses was poor! She finally took our order, eggs, hash browns, biscuits & gravy, veggie omelet with biscuits & gravy, water & one coffee. She brought our water & and slung our silverware & creamer on the table. The cook, a young man, came out & apologized, but they were out of biscuits. We got our food, which was good, but the server didn't ever ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. We later had to flag a server down to get a cup of coffee for me & then still later, to get a refill for my husband's first cup of coffee. While there, we watched girls cleaning tables by wiping food & paper just off onto the floor! When we were given our ticket, we were only then asked if everything was ok. By then it was too late to worry about it!! I was a server for 20+ years & we were extremely disappointed in the Boomarang Diner in Seminole, Ok. We have never been disappointed with other Boomarang Diners that we have been to, though. Management needs to do some training with...

Pepsi dispenser not working (or out of it, just know they didn't have cola). Ordered fish and asked for a couple of lemon wedges, no lemon. We were offered lemon "in the little packets"...no, they didn't have that either. Took forever to get food. I paid for a $8.29 Hatch chili cheeseburger and thought it would be big enough to cut in half and take half home. No, not any bigger than one of their small burgers. Manager sat and talked to a group of guys the whole time we were there. The cash register tape jammed, server had to get her attention and asked twice before manager got up and came to register. Never made eye contact with us, no smile, no thanks. Our young server was great, friendly, checked on us several times, cleaning tables, only one waiting on tables, cleaning and cashering. Food was not that good, will go to Boomarang in Shawnee or Tecumseh...
