Learn moreWe went on a Thursday evening. Things were quiet and there was only one other party there. Food was so terrible we couldn’t even eat it. The food was cooked in a rush and not brought out together. My taquitos were cold on the ends but filled with so much grease the center burned my tongue. Usually, employees notice if if you haven’t eaten anything. The food was cooked in a rush and not brought out together. 1. Burritos and Churrizos (desert). 2. Quesadillas. 3. Sour cream “salad.” 4. Taquitos, 5. Lumpy flan that was falling apart. Couldn’t even ask for a second spoon.
Quesadillas weren’t not the size the waitress told me but they were. We ordered two more before we tasted them and realized they were disgusting. That was NOT queso blanco or anything that tasted like a normal quesadilla. It tasted like white American cheese and was worse than the ones I make at home in 3 minutes but cost me $8. The second ones were burnt and cooked in a hurry.
Employee service was unacceptable given the demeanor of the man behind the bar and that they rushed us without asking us how anything was (terrible thanks). We couldn’t get there until 15 minutes before close but we were treated like an inconvenience than a customer. Others were there after close. The employees were more concerned about leaving work as soon as they could than hospitality or patron business. Not sure if they’re actually from Mexico but their hospitality didn’t seem to match any parts of the country except maybe kind of like Monterrey.
We had to walk up to the bar to get our own to-go box, extra napkins and to-go cup. The refill wasn’t even the same drink I had. We were the only ones left in the restaurant by the way.
We were very nice. I lived in Mexico and spoke in Spanish to them. Usually people are excited and happy when they find out I speak fluent Spanish. They make an effort to converse and ask me where I learned. When they told us we needed to hurry and submit our order because the kitchen was closing at 9:00 sharp, we should’ve gotten the hint they didn’t want us there and left. The food was nothing like you expect Mexican or AUTHENTIC Latin food to be like. Taco Bell tex-mex is better and doesn’t cost $40. It was very bland and worse than the Mexican food I cook at home.
I hate to be completely negative so the good thing is the food was hot and the place was clean. The waitress wasn’t a jerk and had a pleasant personality despite the other service gaps. She was likely instructed to tell us we had to submit our order right then and wasn’t able to wait on us because she was expected to sweep, clean tables, put chairs up and...
Read moreWhere do I begin? My party of 3 are from out of town and as soon as we walked the door we stood at the hostess stand waiting to be seated for almost 10 mins. The only 2 people that were working tonight made eye contact with us, but kept on going on about their business. The female waitress came and asked how many in our party then told us "give us a second for someone to clean off the tables". We finally were seated by the gentleman, but instead of walking us to show us where our table was he instead pointed to his left and said "your table is over there" When we sat down it was another wait for the only waitress working tonight to come by the table just to say " I'll take your drink order when yall are ready to order your food" then she walked away. I took that to mean that yall need to know what yall want to eat the next time I come back to your table.
Now for the food...I always get queso with my chips and salsa...this was not queso it was soup it was so watery it was unbelievable. When we got our meal the waitress brought out the plates, but failed to say the plates are hot....(every Mexican restaurant I have ever been to I was always made aware that the plates were hot) I didnt grab my plate because I knew that most likely the plate would be hot, however she handed my son his plate and before I could say the plate is hot he grabbed it with both of his hands, I'm surprised he did not drop the plate on the table and the waitress's respones to that was "well he grabbed it " wrong answer strike 3!!! The review from the pass few days have all been accurate. Maybe this week has just been a bad week for them (and it's only Monday)who knows. But whatever the issue is I hope that they work on it. And hire more than 2 people. This town is too small to have bad choices of...
Read moreWorst Mexican food we have ever had. Although the lunch pricing is fair the food was not even edible. Not sure what the issue was. The chips were stale. I asked the waitress if we could get fresh chips because it’s not Mexican food without chips & salsa. The waitress said something to the owner & he yells from across the bar to tell us it’s all they have & we can just not have any. The waitress took the chips from us but never returned with the stale ones or any fresh ones, which is fine, we weren’t going to eat them but the owner tells her not to even serve us. ALL I did was ask for chips that weren’t stale. That is it. Worst customer service ever. And it gets better. While waiting 15 mins on our check, which we did pay for the food we did not eat, we see this little fella crawling right beside our table. I took a picture and the owner yells at me again asking me what I was doing. I mean, I could have announced to everyone in the place but I didn’t. I wish I had now just to run...
