Here’s to Fred & Larry’s being closed! Recently stayed here for late season snow skiing and needed some coffee as we left ours at home. First option offered up on google search was closed and this one was only another mile away. Man, they got me so good with their gingerbread latte that I came back the next 2 days for my wife’s breve mocha and that darn Campfire latte. Hard to decide between the 2 which was best and that’s a good problem to have. Atmosphere was inviting and the dudes serving were very helpful and attentive. If/when we come back to Sugar, well-being stopping here again.

This is a really nice coffee shop. I love art, so to see a hand painted wall was a nice treat for me. When it came time to order I honestly didn't know what to get. I enjoy asking what they recommend. It was nice to be asked questions like: Do you like sweets? Savory? and other questions to pinpoint on what to recommend. I ended up with a churro latte and a turkey everything beagle. Hubby got a burrito full of flavor, not sure where they got the flour tortilla, but it was really good it tasted home made. Everything was sooo good! Thank you, guys, for giving us a great experience.

We stopped here as it was close to Sugar Mountain and we were thirsty after skiing g the slopes. I ordered an iced mocha while my friend had a dirty iced chai latte, which is just a chai latte with a shot of espresso. My mocha was good, it had a good balance between the coffee and milk. My friend enjoyed their dirty chai latte; we would order both again. They have pastries as well, it’s close to both Sugar Mountain and Beech slopes so it’s great to stop for a drink or snack when on your way back to the cabin.

Horrible service. Rude and condescending owner. Slow service. Cold hot cocoa. Overpriced. Do not recommend and will definitely never be back.

In response to the owner: good luck with your business treating customers the way you treated me. You talked down to me in such a condescending manner. Even with whipped cream and kids temperature, the hot cocoa was cold. My latte had no flavor and it costs $9 for a medium. $20 for one mediocre, flavorless latte and 2 small cold hot cocoas and an employee with an attitude problem. I would have gladly paid that price for a good product and good service but that’s not what I got. I, simply and politely, checked to make sure someone didn’t forget about the hot chocolate as you and your employees were just standing around- I understand that people forget things-it happens-which I why I asked. It took much longer than 5 minutes for my order- you’re blatantly lying. Also you handed me multiple drinks and did not offer a drink tray and walked away. Do not make it seem as if I went behind the counter and did something wrong as I just grabbed a drink tray that was within reach since you failed to offer one to me and I did not want to “bother” you any further. My daughter, who was in the car, took one sip of her hot chocolate and said “mom it’s cold.” When I told you it was cold in the store- you rudely said “yeah whipped cream cools it down”. I guess you weren’t taught how to treat the people who keep your lights on and it shows. But it’s ok because I will gladly take my business elsewhere...

I went in for a coffee on my way to work. There was one lady sitting with her laptop waiting for a tea and two gentlemen ordered coffees and sat to wait for them. Meanwhile there was a group of three people in front of me waiting to order as was I. The young man behind the counter never acknowledged any of us waiting. He was busy behind the counter cleaning and doing busy work. I never saw him start the tea or the other coffees that had been ordered. After what seemed like 20 minutes but was probably 5, the group of three walked out frustrated without ever being acknowledged. I decided to wait a few more minutes and see if I could get that cup of coffee I really wanted. Not once did the rude young man ever look at me or acknowledge that he would be with me. I left after telling him how rude he was. Whoever the owners are, I hear that is your son who treated us this way and lost you 4 customers in less than 10 minutes. I wonder how long you will stay in business when Fred and Larry's welcomes people as they walk in. I will never come to your coffee shop again and I tell everyone who asks to be sure to honor Fred...
