The food tasted decent. Great portions decent prices. But the service could use some work we will see it right away took about 5 minutes for the waitress to come over and then when she did come over she took our drink orders we asked for two cups of water one pink lemonade and one iced tea she brought the pink lemonade and the iced tea but forgot the water we had to ask three times for the water and the waitress never asked if we want to read those we had to catch her as she was walking by the first time she didn't hear us the second time I said excuse me louder can I get a free refill and she finally got my pink lemonade I can understand that she has other customers but I work at a diner also I am not a pool blown waitress but I am a busser at a diner and my job as a busser is to greet the customer when they come in seat them at their table give them menus and silverware and get their drinks and go and check on them. Periodically to see if they would like refills all the waitress does at my job is take the order and give the customer their food and cash them out and I am the only busser at my job the waitress needs to work on I didn't catch her name but I will give the restaurant One More Shot in the future thank you for the great food though and I like that you had somebody playing music that was very nice....
Read moreThe waitress was super nice and is the only thing I can say positive about this establishment. Ordered the hot food lunch bar. We were told it was a great choice as everything was homemade. There was chicken, stuffed cabbage, Italian sausage, lasagna, mashed potatoes, noodles, and more . I figured ok, nice selection, and it's homemade. Well, it was gross. Everything was overcooked and dried out. They did refill the Italian sausage and it was not overcooked. The chicken was so overcooked it was disgusting looking. I asked the waitress if she could request a new batch of chicken. She said ok, and she took a couple of pieces back to the cook to show. Well, it was pretty much tough.... eat it. The waitress was told he was thinking about switching to a roasted chicken. So tough luck for us. It was not even offered to replace the buffet with something off the menu. We should have just insisted on not being charged, but we politely paid the bill and left. I can honestly say this is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at...
Read moreI love Demetrio’s! My husband says it's for old people, but you can't fight with the food and prices! Yes, their clientele is typically 50 and over, but I've been going there my whole life and I'm only in my thirties now. I literally went there about once a week all summer for their lunch buffet. $7.99 gets you stuffed cabbage and mashed potatoes, lasagna, popcorn shrimp, fish, ribs, and more. They seem to trade in chicken Parmesan for lasagna sometimes and a different kind of meat entree for the ribs. Sometimes they even have chicken paprikash. The stuffed cabbage and mashed potatoes seem to be there everyday. If you luck out and get a day with chicken paprikash or chicken parmesan, as well as the cabbage and mashed potatoes, you are in for a treat!
I also love that I can support a local restaurant. They are so nice and dedicated to making delicious and authentic food. I honestly think everything is homemade in their kitchen. They treat you like they've known you all your life. It simply feels good...
