Some of the best Chinese food around here. The family is great. The food is excellent for the price. Best chicken and mixed vegtables out there. Good beef lo mein, fried rice, pan fried wontons, and Thier crab rangoons are good too. We eat her at least once a week. You can watch them cook your food so the review that said the general tso is frozen is wrong. Also the lady yelling about the dinner not looking like the pictures on the wall, nobody makes food like the pictures look. Just look at McDonald's and how thier sandwiches look so great. Then you get one and it looks nothing like the picture. This is just how it is. Also thier children do not work in there all day. I know the family and talk to all the kids when I come in. As soon as I come in the kids come right over and want to see pictures of the wild animals I feed. I don't want people thinking this place is bad. After the Great China Buffet closed, there was no good Chinese until these people and China House restaurant opened. If you want good Chinese close by, this...
Read moreGeneral Tso has run out of broccoli! He has also misplaced his cook, apparently. Pictures on the wall show a plate of "General Tso's Chicken" with 12 broccoli florets arranged around the edge of the chicken which is in the center of the plate. It also show scallions or little green chopped veggies sprinkled over the chicken. You will not get this! We got five pieces of broccoli and we're told that it was "just a decoration". When I told them this was "just false advertising", they gave me a little extra plate of broccoli. It wasn't easy to convince them to do that either. The quality of the chicken was not fit for dogs and the sauce was sugary syrupy goo. I feel really sorry for their kids at ages 10, 14, and 17 having to work there for untold hours instead of having a childhood. Isn't there a law against child labor?
BTW, the potstickers were...
Read moreThe family wanted Chinese for dinner, this place was ranked best Chinese by Tribune Review 2020 in the North. Called in the order, after a 30 minute drive, got there, place was busy with orders, they had 4 chefs cooking all hustling.
Once i had the order and was close to home, got a call from the restaurant that they had forgotten our chicken fried rice. Too far to drive back and took a rain check.
The cost was good just $35 to feed a family of 4 before tip. We have tried many Asian restaurants and the food here is average. Hot and sour soup was bland. Chicken and shrimp meals were alright but bland also.
Maybe we caught them on a busy night, but based on the taste and the miss on a the fried rice, not sure we...
