I’ve online ordered eaten food from there 2 times and both were awful experiences. And the only time I ever ate in there did nothing to redirect my opinions. Both times I ordered online food they left multiple things out of the order. Since they were many meals, I never noticed until I was home. Considering I’ve thought of them as a having more expensive food, I didn’t want to not get what I paid for so I tried calling them and explaining what was going on. Both times (funny enough at least 1-2 years apart) the person answering the phone was very rude and did not want to help. The first time was right when the opened during Covid and my mom called and was cussed out and we never received any compensation for what we thought we were going to get but never did. Second time I wasn’t going to let my mom deal with that so I called and almost same thing, but I didn’t get cussed out. Rude waitress on the phone didn’t want to give me the time of day, but I explained calmly that we did pay for the food and it was not in the bag. I think this comment would be way too long if I get into all the details of having to wait and waitresses/hosts not looking at me for 20+ minutes in their front room/waiting room (when it wasn’t busy and plenty of waitresses tried to be discrete glancing at me) and me just trying to get food. If it wasn’t so close there would have never been a second time ordering from them nor going to eat there in the restaurant. Anywho, if your looking for bad service, waitresses to be rude to you, and to be ignored, this Barrel Junction...

This place used to be great. It has slid further and further down hill. They change the quantity of food without disclosing it on their online ordering system. My online pickup order for a "strawberry" salad at $9 had 1 strawberry on it. Then, the menu states 10 wings for $12. The only gave 8. They are also not "jumbo" wings. When calling to discuss it, they simply said that they haven't had 10 wings in an order in a while and that the prices have gone up. Ok, then change your menu to reflect that fact! We ordered 2 orders of 10 wings (20). We received 16 total. The manager immediately got an attitude, and said "what do you want me to do about it boss!" I asked for the prorated amount back since I had already been at home after picking up the order. He said I could come get the 4 wings. After making the trip to get my order, why should I have to drive back again to get what I actually ordered in the first place. He subsequently told me he's not refunding any money and hung up on me. This order was placed online, paid for in advance by credit card, and I added a tip prior to picking up the order. And, this is what I get... It seems to me that they are short cutting online orders knowing that you're already home by the time you figure it out. Sadly, we used to enjoy going there, but I WILL NOT return to ANY establishment that treats people this way. While I do understand that businesses are having a hard time, this is no way to secure future...

We live around the corner but because of COVID we really haven't been able to truly visit this Yelp! gem out. Well... it indeed lives up to its hype. The pizza (for a "Pan" style) is an 8.1 on the Barstool Scale. Excellent flop and all around good pizza (for its type). The Spicy Honey Shrimp app was a real doozy. Not as hot as I'd like but they are good... REALLY good. As far as the service goes with COVID times I must say Ashley & Alaina did the absolute best with what they were given. Both women are excellent with hospitality and taking care of what is being thrown at them. It seems as if management may have the table system/seating number chart WAYYY out of whack for outside seating. I see the undesirable reviews across the board but I don't think that's the waitresses fault. They provide excellent service during a VERY awkward time... and BIG ups to the kitchen as the food was multiple foodgasm inducing. We'll be back again even if our order is sent to the wrong tables. Again thanks so much for an amazing first time experience here...

Really wanted to try this place for awhile now, since it's mere minutes from my house (oh, the places two young children won't take you sometimes😅). As it were, had an opportunity to take the family, and it was very nice. The server was very attentive and friendly, the menu not overbearing while also having plenty of intriguing options, and the tap list was vast and varied. I had a chicken and waffle sandwich that was very good, one of the better iterations I've had in Pittsburgh, while my wife had a shrimp salad and my daughter the kids pasta. Everyone was happy with their meal and the rotating 25 beer tap list yielded some nice sips as well. Will definitely visit again when the situation presents itself, hopefully sooner than later.
