Edit: After Contacting Eat'n'Park (like they requested us to do), instead of talking to us about the feedback that we provided here and also speaking with us about the meal feedback over the phone, they instead were incredibly defensive about any criticism. They insulted our "intelligence" over the fact that we didn't want a "seasoned" burger, as if we didn't know the difference between what a Burger was that was lightly salted, or too heavily salted (or in this case, again, had essentially a salt shaker dropped upon it.) Surprise: Burger Seasoning doesn't just mean Salt, or mean heavily dousing it in salt until the only thing you can taste is the salt itself. There are other seasons you can use (but clearly not at this establishment).
We were not seeking a refund or any reparations, we were simply seeking to provide feedback, as we did on this review, and as we sought to do through contacting them. There will be no attempt to remove this review, especially not after being verbally accosted over the phone and treated as poorly as we were by their management. I would recommend others to avoid this location, especially when it comes to dealing with either management or owners that are as against receiving feedback or criticism as much as this. These are the kind of businesses you SHOULD NOT be supporting during COVID-19 compared to other businesses that genuinely would care and want to make the difference during this crisis.
Usually a very good place to get a bite to eat, or even some take out. But, the last several of times we have gotten take out we have left very disappointed. Mistakes with the orders (the first we overlooked, perhaps they were too busy, new cook, etc.), just forgot some things in the order. We were full anyways. Things that we didn't wanna raise a fuss about with this COVID thing causing enough trouble for everyone.
Second time, when it actually affected our order yet again and our meal quality overall, we've decided to not want to eat there again despite being close to home. Getting two Black Angus Superburgers for myself and my mother ended up being a huge mistake with how overly seasoned the burgers were (not the first time this happened either). The amount of salt on them was enough to have us drinking water for the rest of the evening even after just a few bites. Getting sick to our stomachs over it is not worth whatever was indulged, it was almost as if someone dropped an entire salt shaker on both burgers.
I'd rather eat at the nearby Burger King or McDonalds than order here again, which is a shame, because normally their Salads and other items were enjoyable and fresh enough to not want to...
Read moreStopped for dinner at Eat N Park Rte 8 Etna and did the salad bar Greatly disappointed . The salad bar was just about depleted at 5:45 PM I settled for some Chilli . About 1/2 way through I started noticing raw hamburger . I patted it dry to make sure no sauce was there It got WORSE . Not just red but light red almost pink I asked the people if they also tried the chilli They did not but the lady said her burger was not done either but she ATE it anyway . My waitresss felt bad . I asked for him to come see me He did but denied the problem and said it was sauce I patted it dry and the reddish pink told the story I told him about the lady in the next booth that ate her burger anyway even though it wasn't fully cooked The manager was in denial but asked what he should do I said I should not pay for raw meat in my chilli and the lady in the next booth should not pay for the burger I asked about my bill on the way out She said "don't worry about it". I said ok and tipped her cause it wasn't her fault . I told the manager that I was going to write this review and hope the County Health Dept shows up I hope I don't get sick from eating raw burger This is not the first Est N Park that I wrote a review about I won't be surprised if some of these...
Read moreThe food ended up being fine; it's a diner chain so expectation is that it's quick and easy, not fancy or anything. I wasn't quite pleased with the service though. I ordered online, and went to pick it up at the expected time. Three minutes until pick up, I got a call from the establishment that I couldn't answer, since I was already driving. As it turned out, they didn't have one of the sides that I ordered. I'm not sure why they waited until pick up to tell me. They should have called soon after my order was placed. They didn't have my food ready at pick up time, and I had to wait an additional twenty minutes. I could have walked in, can made my order, and had my food in the same amount of time. The whole point of the pick up window is to avoid that. When I got where I was going for lunch, I saw that the price of fish I received was VERY small. It was smaller than a deck of cards. Luckily the side to go with it I was given was large, because otherwise it wouldn't have been enough for a meal. I was pretty disappointed. However, my order was correct. So even though it was late and not to the proportions I expected, it was good and nothing...
