Today, I'm changing my previous 5 star review for this Bojangles to a 1 star review. I rarely leave negative reviews, as I feel there’s already enough negativity in the world. HOWEVER, I’ve been told that Google Reviews can sometimes get the attention of corporate, so here I am leaving a 1-star review (wishing I could leave zero). I’ll also be filling out the survey from my receipt, because today’s experience left me genuinely upset.
Let me start with a past example: some of the younger employees working here have no manners or respect. On one visit in the past month or so, the young, soft-spoken man at the drive-thru (still employed here to date) asked me, “Why don’t you just go to the gas station for your drink?” Excuse me? I came to a drive-thru for convenience... Why would that even be said to a paying customer? I was kind in my response thinking maybe he's having a rough shift... I just said "I like your drinks and wanted to come here!" He clearly dislikes his job, and it shows any time I've seen him in the drive-thru.
But today officially crossed the line. I was in store for a carry-out order and requested a steak Bo-Berry biscuit and a medium fry. Barbara (who is one of the BEST employees at this location, so kind and professional ALWAYS) rang it up as “steak biscuit, sub Bo-Berry biscuit.” If it’s an option in the system and I can pay for it, it should be something you serve, right? If it weren’t possible, the system wouldn’t allow it.
Instead of the back line crew simply making the biscuit, the young lady on working today (9/5/25) chose to yell... yes, YELL across the restaurant: “WE DON’T MAKE NO STEAK BO-BERRY BISCUIT. I BEEN HERE 2 MONTHS AND I AIN’T NEVER MADE A STEAK BO-BERRY BISCUIT AND I AIN’T MAKING ONE TODAY.” Then she walked away from the back line, refusing to make the biscuit. All it required was cutting a Bo-Berry biscuit in half and grabbing steak instead of the sausage they already offer on the menu. That’s it.
Barbara, being the professional she is, put on gloves, went to the back line herself, and did the simplest of tasks: cut a Bo-Berry biscuit in half, put the steak on the Bo-Berry biscuit, wrapped it, and handed it to me with kindness.
I received a small fry instead of the medium I paid for, but after the outburst from the back line employee, it wasn't worth bringing it to anyone's attention in store... Nor did I want my foot spat in by the raging back line girl. I was just genuinely ready to get the hell out of this Bojangles... You got some extra money from me today. Call it a win.
This is just one of many stories I could share. I don’t know if it’s a management issue or a lack of proper training, but this location is giving Bojangles a terrible reputation. Please, hire employees who care. Please, do better or just shut it down. I, for one, will be driving to the North Myrtle Beach location from this point forward. This is not the Bojangles experience customers should have.
After leaving this review, I will not return to this location... Not because of the food itself, but because I don’t trust the current staff to handle it...
Read moreI USUALLY DON'T EAT FAST FOOD, AND NOW I REMEMBER WHY. IT WAS LATE, AROUND 8:45 (MIND YOU THEY CLOSE AT 10PM) AND I WANTED SOMETHING QUICK, SO I DECIDED TO GO TO BOJANGLES. I ORDERED A CHICKEN TENDERS MEAL FOR MY HUSBAND, AND A "HOT" SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH WITH CHEESE. I ALSO ORDERED A BO-BERRY BISCUIT. THE GIRL AT THE WINDOW TOLD ME TO PULL UP AND SHE WOULD BRING IT TO ME. WHEN SHE BROUGHT IT OUT, SHE DROPPED THE BO-BERRY BISCUITS ON THE OUTSIDE GROUND, AND JUST PICKED THEM UP AND TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THAT THEY DIDN'T FALL OUT AND THEY WERE OKAY.... I JUST TOOK THEM AND SAID IT'S OKAY, BECAUSE I WAS READY TO GO, BUT IN MY MIND, I WAS THINKING " WHY WOULD YOU THINK IT'S OKAY TO DROP SOMEONE'S FOOD ON THE GROUND, AND STILL GIVE IT TO THEM, THAT'S JUST COMMON SENSE"..... I USUALLY CHECK MY FOOD BEFORE I LEAVE, AND I SHOULD HAVE, BUT DIDN'T THIS TIME..... AS FAR AS THE FOOD, HIS TENDERS CAME HOT, BUT MY CHICKEN SANDWICH WAS COLD AS ICE, DRY AND LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN RE-COOKED MULTIPLE TIMES, EVERYTHING WAS EXTRA SALTY, AND THERE WAS NO CHEESE. I ENDED UP TAKING IT BACK UP THERE, AND CALLING WHILE ON THE WAY, TO LET THEM KNOW THE SITUATION.... I TOLD HIM I WANTED IT HOT OUT THE GREASE.... SO WHEN I GOT BACK, I WATCHED THE GUY MAKE MY SANDWICH THROUGH THE WINDOW. THE GUY HAD ONE GLOVE ON, AND ONE GLOVE OFF , WHICH IS CONFUSING TO ME🤔🤔AND A BIG TRASH CAN SITTING RIGHT BESIDE HIM AND THE TABLE WHERE HE WAS PREPPING THE FOOD ...... WHEN HE FINISH MAKING THE SANDWICH, HE TOOK THE ONE GLOVE OFF AND THREW IT IN THE TRASH, AND SET THE SANDWICH OVER TO THE SIDE AND WENT AND GOT ON HIS PHONE AS I SAT THERE FOR ANOTHER 5 MINUTES, WATCHING HIM WATCH ME THROUGH THE WINDOW ..... FINALLY ANOTHER GUY CAME FROM AROUND THE CORNER, AND THE ONE ON HIS PHONE TOLD HIM THE SANDWICH WAS MADE, SO THE OTHER GUY BROUGHT IT TO ME, NO APOLOGY OR ANYTHING, AND HANDED ME YET ANOTHER COLD SANDWICH THAT LOOKED EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE FIRST ONE...... THE CHEESE WASN'T MELTED OR ANYTHING... AND I ENDED UP THROWING AWAY THE BO-BERRY BISCUITS, WHICH I DIDN'T NEED ANYWAY.... JUST TERRIBLE SERVICE, AND TERRIBLE FOOD, NOT WHAT USED TO BE..... I MISS THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN PEOPLE ACTUALLY CARED...... THIS FOOD CAME OUT THE $21 AND SOME CHANGE, WAY TOO MUCH TO BE NASTY.... I WILL NEVER GO...
Read moreImpossible to get a 5 star review sadly, due to a few factors. Firstly and most importantly your company doesn't follow Henry Ford's quote in 1914, Henry Ford doubled basic pay for his workers, explaining: “The owner, the employees, and the buying public are all one and the same: and unless an industry can so manage itself as to keep wages high and prices low it destroys itself. For otherwise, it limits the number of its customers." When I see employees wearing foul uniforms, an ascents of genuine smiles as if it the company is their's as much as the shareholders it tells me two things 1st thing there are 7 days in a week and those employees don't have 7 uniforms, 2ndly the pay is so low the luxury of washing a limited amount of issued amount of clothing is not there. If your worried about profit margin raise the cost of your product, if you don't have faith in said product keeping the loyalty of customer at higher price point, one must ask themselves is this the best we can offer. I wish each and everyone of you the best but your mimicking your competitors to try to impress the shareholders and not the customers and employees who are one...
