Coastal Church — Attraction in Shallotte

My husband and I moved to Bolivia, NC in 2020, a friend recommended Coastal Church to us and we attended one Sunday, we haven’t missed a Sunday since! We love Coastal Church because of the passionate truth that the pastors speak into the community. We also love the super friendly feel that we get being there - it’s a warm community to be in and there are so many opportunities to get involved! Each Sunday there are smiling faces there to greet you as you walk in, to serve you coffee, donuts, fruit and more, to pray with you after each service, to chat with you about next steps in your walk and to be there for you! The community outreach is fantastic and I feel at peace leaving my daughter with the Sunday school teachers there to learn and play or bringing her in to worship and enjoy the message with me! It’s a really wonderful church and I encourage anyone who is looking for a local church to come join us ASAP to see for yourself! The only caveat - No perfect people allowed! :)...

When I was brand new in my faith I prayed to God to show me the church he wanted me in and after some research I found Coastal. I read through their website and I just knew "this is the one". After I listened to some sermons from the Hearts on Fire series, not only did I know this was definitely the church God wanted me at but those sermons helped me through a very dark time. When I started attending I was worried that I wouldnt fit in as an ex Pagan with a husband and a child who wanted to attend but were non believers. Never once were we made to feel unwelcomed. It has been nothing but Christ like love, kindness, and support. This church is so welcoming and so Christ centered it has truly been a blessing for our family. And on top of it all they have a great variety of Bible study classes at different times days and locations that I have also enjoyed participating in. I started attending Coastal Church a little over a year ago while we were completing our new home in Ocean isle. From the moment I walked through the doors I was made to feel welcomed and appreciated. The hospitality I felt from each person I met was overwhelming and you get the feeling that you can come just as you are, no matter how broken you feel and there will be no judgement. The Holy Spirit is undeniable in this congregation and I feel so loved each time I walk through the doors. I have since joined a men's group there (something I have never done in the past) and I have never felt closer to God than I do right now. His joy and peace surround me and my life has never been better. Pastor Lucas preaches in truth and spirit, he is inspirational and passionate and you will leave hungry for the Word of God.
