Salsa was great, chips were a tad bit hard which was fine, it’s a free appetizer. Our food was a little pricey but worth it because it was delicious. Steak was very tasty and tender. Waiter was great at first until it was time to leave, never could find him for our ticket and take out boxes. Eventually someone else came by to bring it to us. Overall it was a okay trip with good food, will be back just because the food. Edit: I didn’t wanna be that person but last review I made I didn’t even mention the fact I found a small black tiny hair looked like a mustache hair or just an eyelash in my food. But today I had another just not so good experience. The waitress’s English was not very good so she did need help with our order which was okay but definitely a little aggravating because our food still wasn’t properly how we wanted it. Never came to check on us for refills or if we needed anything. Before I even picked up my fork I seen what looked like a woman’s piece of hair just perfectly laying on top of my food. It’s gross but I did just pick it off and eat it, I was starving and am pregnant so I just went about it and picked it off. But never again will I come back here. It can’t happen twice in row?!?! Also she told me they had bottled water, came back to tell me they did not. Also told me that they had chicken nuggets for my child in which she came back a second time to tell me they didn’t have those either. Not to mention the fork I had was sticky. I really haven’t had a worse dinner than this anywhere. Edit: I did recently go back and our trip was amazing. Waiter was great, left him a good tip. Food was prepared correctly, it was fresh, and it was delicious. No one was unhappy. I’ll definitely give them another chance as it seems they’ve worked hard to redeem themselves. Bumping back to 3 stars. Will remove my review after a few...
Read moreI've been a couple times with my family, my last bad experience prompted me to write this review so you will not make the same mistake. First off there are TV's all over the dining room above peoples tables, so you constantly have people across the room staring at you and your family while you eat. We sat down and I ordered a margarita that never showed up while everyone else's drinks did. We have small children, but they brought us super spicy salsa anyways for the children to burn their mouths with. The waiter made a cruel joke about the burrito we ordered for our child. My water was not refilled, the chips were not refilled even though my family ordered guac and cheese dip (since no one dared go near the salsa). I ordered carnitas tacos: the meat was so dry it was like jerky and the onions were raw and heavy handed, they also did not provide any sour cream on them so it was like eating a handful of dry crackers. We were checked on only once just before the check came, but not at all after the food showed up. Terrible service, corner cutting microwave food, spicy salsa (not made in house), and an atmosphere that feels more like a Chinese pagoda than a Mexican cantina complete with a partial roof for those in a booth in case it rains inside. The tables in the center of the room make it difficult to get around people to go to the restroom/bar. The veterans discount they claim to offer on the large banner at the hosts stand was not applied...
Read moreWhen I showed up it was empty. Looked closed. Got my seat. I was squished against the booth had to push the table back. No need to make extra space y'all. The place is empty.
Started off good. Salsa was perfect and not too spicy for the gringos. I ordered a number 11 and a side of rice and beans to try a little of everything.
The beans hit low on flavor scale... almost straight out of the can. No flavor. The cheese tried to help. But it was too late. They killed the beans. The rice was the same color as my rosy white skin. And you guessed it. Less flavor than a rice cake.
My food came. Wrong order. I order chicken and I got beef. But that's normal at Mexican restaurants. It literally almost happens every time. So I corrected him even though I feared retaliation from the kitchen.
Food came 2nd time. I had a harder time finding the chicken than a blind farmer at night with no moon. My burrito was empty. My enchilada was skinnier than Penelope Cruz. The taco was mired in the mole sauce they put on my enchilada. (I was expecting enchilada sauce but maybe I'm crazy)
Chicken was dry. Sauce was mediocre. I finished my plate but not my rice and beans. (No salvation for the food, "Santa Maria")
It wasn't my waiters fault so I tipped him good. I went to get dessert but they wanted 7 dollars for fried ice cream (no manches) so I left.
This place needs revision.
