Man my first visit. I’ve seen & heard about them so I had to try. Inside was a little odd and wide open, but maybe that’s due to covid? I wouldn’t know having been my first visit. What got me is that darn Vinegar sauce in the small plastic cup. Wow, Ii loved it! I will go again just so I can have that on something lol. I had it with a very tender pork sandwich that was cooked perfectly, along with great fries! Not everyone does fries well. The presentation was on small tissue paper of some kid & very basic, but I actually enjoyed that. Finish eating, wrap your paper and throw it in the trash (fast easy)! So yes I will be going back. I loved that by the counter to order, there was also a “small sink” to wash hands. How ingenious - especially if messy from any sauce you can clean up right there! This was my very first visit. First thing that I noticed is that the dining room was very upscale. The ceilings were tall with a lot of light and everything was as clean as could possibly be.
The woman that took my order was maybe the nicest food service person at a counter ever. She is incredibly friendly and very helpful. I told her that it was my first visit. I was looking try a little bit of everything and she set me up with a plate that did just that.
Pork was my favorite. I liked it with the vinegar sauce and a little bit of hot sauce on it the best. The fried chicken was good with a pepper forward seasoning flavor. The potato salad was good and the baked beans were fantastic with piece of meat in them.

We've tried the Smithfield's in Laurinburg and enjoyed it, so we had an idea of what to expect when we decided to come here. My previous experience was just with my wife and sons but this time we were returning home from a middle school retreat with 42 students and a number of chaperones. It was a Sunday evening and the staff on duty was exceptional. They treated every student with dignity and a smile. They were courteous and accommodating, despite our students being very tired. We really appreciated their hospitality. My hat is off to this group!
