Pizza Shoppe — Restaurant in Shawnee

Ordered a pizza with light cheese and ½ pork sausage along with a side salad. It was a Sunday around 6:30 p.m. A couple of kids were working along with an older woman (manager?)

The good: There was an ample amount of sausage on the ½ pizza.

Bad: The pizza was way overcooked to the point where some of the cheese and the bottom of the crust was burned.

There was barely any cheese or sauce. I ordered light cheese, not no cheese and did NOT order light sauce. It was basically a burned crust along with a few drops of sauce and barely any cheese. It should never have been served that way.

Unfortunately, we got the order as a carryout and didn't notice it until we got home. I would never have accepted that pizza had I looked at the counter (my fault).

Salad: The lettuce was wilted which ruined the dinner completely. The pizza and salad should never have been allowed to be served even to a carryout customer.

Disappointing experience, my family and I walked in after my sons baseball game wanting to enjoy the rest of our evening. We walked in and the two booths empty were dirty so we stood for a min giving the waitress a chance to clean up the table but she kept walking past us not acknowledging us all while we are standing. So we decided ok she’s busy so we will sit down and wait. Then a couple walks in and sits at the other booth and the waitress right away greets them and immediately cleans their booth. I see this and still give her a chance to clean up our table or at the least greet us. She then went on to take there order while my family and I had been waiting for now 10 mins and were there first. After seeing obviously she or anyone else at this establishment would even acknowledge us we left and went to Old Shawnee and it was packed but were greeted with the most friendliest staff as soon as we opened the door. Was not impressed. Tried them for the first time. Ordered the King size meat pizza. They weren't busy. Seated right away but took awhile for someone to come to take the order. Ordered pizza and breadsticks. Got the breadsticks, they were bland and marina sauce had no flavor. Sticks tasted like they were just bread that was prepackaged, frozen and thawed, no flavor, generic plain sticks. Sauce also had no flavor and been setting out for awhile. Finally got the pizza - it was not worth the 30 bucks. A thin crust meat pizza that was sadder than a Chuck E. Cheese cardboard pie. Unevenly cooked, areas burnt, some undercooked. Toppings not evenly spread. It was hot, but didn't taste great, like a cardboard box. A Mexican pizza from Taco Bell has better personality and flavor than the pie I had.
