Smoothie King — Restaurant in Shawnee

I went on Friday to get the Friday special, a 32oz for the price of a 20oz. I ordered the Hulk. I dont even remember what all was in it, but I do remember some bananas and I ordered it with coffee in it and some protein. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. I also was very impressed by the employees. Being a previous supervisor in a store, I know that its rare to have teens actually taking initiative to get the job done. There were 3 teens working in the front. All of them were working hard cleaning and serving the few customers that came in while we were there. They were not standing around talking or on their phones texting. They were wiping counters, cleaning the glass in front of the ingredients case. The girls here were extremely kind! we decided to stop in very last minute and I was super nervous because I have a severe peanut allergy. I have had some really scary experiences at other locations. The girl taking our order immediately got the allergy blender and communicated with her coworkers that I have an allergy. The girl making my smoothie immediately washed her hands and told her coworkers to make sure to keep all of the peanut stuff put away until she was done making my smoothie. Never had a problem ordering on the app and picking up at this location, but when ordering in person I didn't like being upsold a yogurt add-in to my smoothie like it was supppsed to be part of it. And then not taking it off correctly on the order when I asked about it. There was a 15% discount already for the one year anniversary event, so I didn't complain, but I will stick to using the app if I want to visit this location in the future. The smoothies were great...
