Came for breakfast on a Sunday. The owners and staff seem friendly and engaged. The place was busy with line out the door. The wait for food was pretty long but we were not in a rush and the place was busy. You could see a lot of tables without food though so kitchen was struggling likely. I ordered a chicken fried steak breakfast with eggs, toast, potatoes, and gravy. The food was OK. Not bad but not memorable IMO. The fried steak was a bit too hard. I tried both thr regular and chorizo gravy.. they were also both forgettable for my pallet. The white gravy is heavy on the flower taste. They were both too plain to be great/memorable. My wife had avocado toast, eggs, and a cinnamon roll. She did not enjoy the avocado and thought it was "funky". I do like that they have capuchinos and other lattes, expressos, etc. Overall I could recommend to someone in the area for a breakfast/ brunch spot. It does not make any top lists though based on the meal we had today. I would reccomend they try to make some new signature dishes that bump up thr flavor and rusticness vs just repurposing an old menu from previous owners. Make it your own guys! (The menu also lists the chicken fried steak in 2 different places at 2 different prices... )

My mom and I had a LOVELY time having brunch with Chris as our server, and it was the *best* happy accident, as our original plans in the area were to have lunch at a different restaurant. I was delighted to have *several* milk alternatives to choose from instead of a standard drip coffee setup like I usually expect from this type of place. Great selection of brunch standards and more uncommon choices like the option to have smoked salmon on my skillet. Heavenly French toast too. Chris was warm and friendly as well as having that "special sauce" of a good server (I'm former food industry). He only works weekdays, so on your next day off pop over and ask for him.

We wanted a new breakfast restaurant option so we came to try this place. The service was very good, attentive and kind. However my food was not great, I had an avocado toast and the avocado had a funky flavor that flavor that avocado gets when it's bad or it's been seating for long time. So I could only eat the half. Potatoes were good. I didn't love my cinnamon roll. My husband liked his dish so I guess I would give another chance to this place later.

We went to rize and shine today to support local businesses knowing it was the same staff that ran eggtc (because we loved it) but we were actually pretty disappointed with our visit today. We walked in at 12:10pm and did not get our food until 12:55pm. So that was our first annoyance. Then I ordered the avocado toast which literally tasted like nothing and the bread was very hard to cut. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak which was half the size of eggtc and did not taste the same. He loved the chorizo gravy but we could not locate that on the menu. The best thing we tasted today was my kid’s chocolate chip pancake which mind you, the chocolate chips were just sat on top of the pancake instead of being cooked into the batter. Lame. The service was good and my husband enjoyed the Bloody Mary but other than that, definitely not the same as eggtc. Hopefully they will get some stuff together and we might go back in 6 months or so, to see if they’ve worked out the kinks. As a former restaurant waitress of 14 years and being in the service industry for 16, I understand what’s it’s like to open a restaurant and maintain one. This post is not to belittle the restaurant but to hopefully constructively criticize it to help it grow as we love to support non corporate entities close...

My wife is a vegetarian, and had a procedure nearby where she couldn't eat the day before. We went there for breakfast, MANY options for her. At that point she was still a bit "loopy", and later in the day after we were home, she realized she did NOT have her wallet!! I went online, found an email, contacted them LONG after hours, and in
