The Cardinal Scoop — Restaurant in Sheffield Lake

This was our first time in, just searching the area for good ice cream and stumbled upon this AMAZING TREASURE. Don’t let the outside fool you. While it may not look like much, there’s gold on the inside. There’s no stairs to get in, just a small step up. And there is a small ramp for those who need it. Completely flat surface once inside. A few tables and chairs both inside and outside. We were greeted with a smile from a very nice lady. I didn’t get her name but she very much could have been the manager. This is their 4th year in business. They serve hard scoop Hershey’s Ice Cream, soft serve vanilla, chocolate or a twist, “incredible ice” and hot food. I grabbed a sample of Sour Apple “incredible ice”, which is their name for Italian ice and oh my goodness…. I see why they can’t keep it in stock when they have it!! It was delicious!! I ordered a medium and it DEFINITELY exceeded that generously. I still have half left in my freezer. My boyfriend ordered a triple scoop of Salted Caramel Brownie, (Decadent brownie batter ice cream with a sweet and salty caramel swirl and baked brownie bites.) He was pleased and happy. I couldn’t stop thinking about this place, we went 2 days later. This time greeted by a very nice young lady. Ordering a small Orange Blossom (vanilla) incredible ice, and a double scoop of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. Both times he got a waffle cone and said it’s the best one he’s ever had. It was fresh and not stale. Priced very well considering the “extra” they give. We will try hot food one day. But in the mean time, this will be our new ice cream spot. Grab your kids and family and head on over to The Cardinal Scoop, Sheffield Lake’s very own ice cream shop! It is conveniently located right off the Sheffield Lake trail that connects to Lake Road. So when you’re on your daily walk you can stop in for a scoop of ice cream, a float, banana split, or soft serve. There is an assortment of flavors and toppings available. There is plenty of indoor seating a few tables for outdoor seating. There is a ramp for easy entrance for wheelchairs or strollers. Owners are very friendly and personable. We took the pups for a ride to the beach in sheffield. We didn't plan on the downpour and then birds being all over the beach afterward (my dogs would have went after them in sure). So we decided it's best to just go get some puppy cones and a snack for us. I searched nearby places and can across this little gem. Very friendly staff and good service. We had 3 pup cups, a strawberry sundae and nachos. There's a super cute covered bridge and picnic tables just down the hill from their parking lot. I highly recommend for a nice...
