Ordered crawfish as an appetizer but they failed to explain that the appetizer is the same price as the dinner and it doesn't show it in the menu. They said the crawfish just came up. Allot of crawfish where still undercooked and under seasoned. Well not knowing how big the appetizer of crawfish was, we order the seafood platter which is 20 bucks, me and my gf could not and would not even eat half. The seafood platter is extremely small for the price. The 1 piece of fish was undercooked and under seasoned, the hush puppies taste like pure buttermilk, the slaw is just cabbage chopped up, no carrots or mayonnaise, no nothing. Crabcakes are overcooked and look like cornbread, fries taste a bit old, and shrimp are fried with no seasoning. They told us we could have extra shrimp with our seafood platter because they were out of froglegs, and did not give us extra shrimp as promised for a substitution. After I told the manager about the food, she got angry but was nice enough to not charge us for the seafood platter. Doubt we will be going back unless prices and quality of the food changes because I'm from south Mississippi and that's how we do seafood. I'm a...
Read moreBeing that my husband is originally from south Louisiana and that we moved here last June, we were craving cajun food..... They tried but It wasn't what we were expecting. I got the fried seafood platter and it was WAY too salty. If I could have a chargrilled or baked option to actually be able to taste the food and not all salt it probably would have been gooe. My husband got the gumbo and red beans and rice. He was pretty satisfied with his meal. He had a few suggestions that he could have made. This biggest surprise that we had was we asked if we could get hot steamed shrimp, which by the way was on the menu as STEAMED. The super nice witress informed us that all the shrimp they ever have at thr restaurant is on ice and cold, she then said that is house people here like it... What?? This is a cajun restaurant.... Cajun's like hot boiled or hot steamed shrimp... Not shrimp cocktails as they called it..... From a cajun home in north alabama, this restaurant could do alot better in cooking and serving how actual cajuns do. Over seasoning with Tony's isnt the way, just makes it way to salty... The customer service was great though and the staff was...
Read moreWe got seated and finally got a menu brought to us. Then it took 30 minutes to get our order taken. Then it took about 45 minutes before we got our food and when she brought our fish out we had to ask for tarter sauce and never got it brought to us. Had to eat the fish without tarter sauce. Was supposed to have been grouper but not sure that it was. It was very small and thin. Would have been nice to have also had two pieces of fish instead of one very small piece. Slaw was bland nothing in it but shredded cabbage. A third person with us had shrimp PO boy with what was supposed to be Cajun fries. Was not a very good PO boy not many shrimp in it and fries were plain steak fries with no Cajun seasoning whatsoever. Very high price and cheap quality for what we had. No tip due to the service. Places are supposed to still be practicing social distancing. There was no social distancing at all the place was packed... every table... every seat. We will...
