My family and I have eaten here hundreds of times over the years and almost every single time we get the pizza because it is delicious. We are regulars and have never gotten bad service from the actual waitstaff. My low score and My issue is with the MGMT- last night Feb. 24th. As usual we ordered a pizza amongst ribs and other entrees. When the pizza came out it was burnt to a crisp- black on the crust and on the bottom. Charred badly. When the nice waiter came to see how we were doing, I apologized and said "I'm sorry. It's just really badly burnt" as I showed him and lifted up the pie to expose the bottom as well. He apologized and said he would get us a new one. I thanked him and waited patiently as my family ate their meals. When the 2nd pizza was brought to the table he came with another person- a lady wearing a hoodie. He placed the pizza down and apologized and I thanked him. The pizza was a little too lightly cooked for my taste but I didn't say anything. It wasn't a big deal. He walked away, but the lady turned around to leave and then all of the sudden turned back around and said to me out of the blue: "In the future you should express that ypu want the pizza cooked light so that it doesn't come out the way we normally cook it --if you don't like it that way." I was taken off guard because first of all who are u?!?-since you didn't introduce yourself and 2nd she was insinuating that it was MY fault the pizza was not to my liking. I said "well, I actually don't like it cooked light -it was just too burnt before". And she once again condesendingly said "well ok im just telling you that's how we cook it here" and my husband who has worked in pizza places chimed in and said "no, it was really burnt" and I said " we order pizza here all the time and it doesn't come out like that, ever". And she just snottily says "OK" and just walks away. I'm assuming she is a manager, although she never stated who she was and being in the industry myself for 20 yrs, that is NOT the kind of manager I would ever have in the front of the house. I didnt complain. I didn't ask for anything free. I was understanding (as these things happen) and polite about it. But she literally came over and caused an issue for no reason. Blaming the patron for the fact that the pizza was overcooked. And being snide, condescending and rude. As I ate my pizza my husband and even my child were just flabbergasted at what just took place. It took over the conversation and quite frankly ruined the meal and dinner with my family. Once we collected the tab and tipped 20%, we left. i have left several good reviews for you guys and this one isn't even that bad-because again we usually have a great experience and come at a minimum 1x a month. I'm telling you because if this is how this Mgr treats customers then you are going to start losing them. And in this economy when ppl are having to make tough decisions about going out and where to spend their hard earned dollars, interactions like this will make the decision to go sonewhere else that appreciates their business much easier to make. It was unprofessional, unnecessary and she could benefit from some front of the house customer engagement...
Read moreHaley is the worst server I have ever had.
Went with my gf and her parents for her birthday on 8/24/24
The food was amazing as usual but our server Haley wasn’t good but wasn’t bad enough to notice….until we got our bill. Haley gave us our bill and to go containers, we were talking for 10+ minutes enjoying each others company and Mom said let’s go and that’s when I realized we can’t still because she hasn’t come back to take the card from Dad yet. Mind you, there are no other tables occupied in our section anymore, only us. We wait another 5+ minutes and start saying how horrible this waitress is. The lady bussing tables walks by a couple times and finally takes pity on us and takes the bill because Haley is still ignoring us. I have had some terrible servers but I’ve never had to have a person bussing tables have to cash us out because the server is that bad at her job.
Only a 1 star because that was hands down the worst server I have ever had.
10/4/24 Reponse to Noelle Bailey: I do understand that Haley was responsible for the entire bar (6 people) as well as her "whole" section. I say whole section in quotations because we were the ONLY table left in the ENTIRE section. You seem to have not read that part in my original reply. As someone who has been a server and a line cook, and knows the responsiblity and workload that goes along with both those jobs, I say again with sincerity, Haley is the worst server I have ever had.
As having been a server, I am well aware of how long it takes to take someone's card and cash out a family on a group tab. I am also aware how long it takes to ask another server (when actually slammed which wasn't the case) to cash out a table when busy. I am also aware of how much you can earn in tips at a bar vs the only table left in your section that didn't order an alcoholic beverage.
Also, one thing I didn't point out in my initial response was that after the lady bussing tables took pity on us and cashed out our table, is that Haley suddenly remembered we existed and decided to come over and let us know she hoped we enjoyed our time. Not wanting to further ruin my GF's birthday dinner, we were politely curt with Haley. If Haley was as busy as your attempting to make out, why did Haley come over after the lady bussing tables told Haley that she cashed out Haley's table for her? How did you not see that when you looked at the video footage?
If you're wondering how I still remember this, it is because Haley was the worst server I have ever had and it was memorable unfortunately for that reason.
I do not accept your apology because it's more of an excuse than an apology. Your response quite frankly raises questions about your leadership and if you actually watched the footage it makes be believe you are a very disengenous person and I would never go back to a restaurant run by someone with some questionable character. Unfortunately I will never be going back to this location and will discourage future visits at all to your...
Read moreFirst of all I want to give a big shout out to Mariah the waitress she was totally phenomenal. Price for a party of four wasn't bad at all like approx $70. The food was great & very impressive everybody was pleased and satisfied Fatboy and Abby and in the food coma when we left, I have Celiac and they are very silly Act friendly in fact back of the house manager came out to my table to talk to me about it and make sure I was aware as to their safety precautions which was very impressive as well. A combination of all four of us one party had the nachos the chicken nachos they were pleased my husband end up having brisket sandwich he said that was good I had half a slab of the ribs coleslaw potato salad the coleslaw I found was on the dryer side the potato salad I didn't care cuz it has fresh dill in it and I just do not enjoy the flavor of fresh dill it's overpowering so I tried the pit beans and they were super good I also try their sweet tea and they're sweet tea is homemade in the house and it is nice and sweet like the McDonald's sweet tea phenomenal. The environment was very calming quiet not loud you can hear everybody talking in your party they also have outdoor seating that was super super cute with the little Pine with a few little fish in it they have an outside fireplace, the restrooms were spotless the whole place was a good atmosphere and spotless. All in all this place I highly recommend and we definitely will be back as this seems to be our number one barbecue place to go to now. NOTE I am hard to please & this cozy place NAILED it! Parking lot is pretty big, no steps anywhere so everyone is welcomed! Love that outdoor bar too. I just can't say enough about it other than if you don't try this place it's yours &...
