Ford Field Central Park — Attraction in Shelby Charter Township

Its nice little Athletic Park. Very well maintenance and clean. Large parking lot to accommodate. There is a small pond but it's fenced off and seems to be off limits but people still fish anyways. Has a bunch of Baseball/Softball fields along with a soccer field. Bathrooms appear to be nice and clean and also has porta jon's by the each of the playing fields which also appear to be nice. I gave it a 3 star not because of the conditions, but because of what it doesn't have like a skate park or some of the popular alternative sporting options the kids are more into these days. There is no basketball court and the so called playground is a joke and has the capacity to accommodate about one kid at a time. Come on, this park shares the Ford Motor Company's name and that's the best playground you can offer for the kids?? Yes it's nice and relatively new and in a good safe neighborhood but that's just more reason that it should have more. Visit here, and then go to Borden Park a few miles down the road and you will understand my review...

I like the facility the fields are well taken care of. I just will list a few things that can be done to improve the park. The dugouts get muddy when it rains they could be cemented ,and a longer bench. Is needed.Diamond 2 and 3 good 7se a yr arp on the fence behind theump the fielders get the sun reflection off the car windshields it just blinds you.Yo u should be ave real fencing around the outfields. We were there for a baseball tournament. Nice fields, there is also a play structure in the back for when the younger kids tired of watching baseball for hours 🤪 there is a decent amount of parking, but not enough for a baseball tournament. There were people parking on the grass and in other spots they shouldn't be. There isn't an admission fee, which is nice. I don't believe there was a concession stand so be sure to pack...
