Donut Chef — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

I placed an order through uber eats, when my order got delivered it was someone else’s order which was Barbara’s. Not the problem, the problem was when I called the shop to confirm if my donuts were still at the shop or if they had been delivered to someone else’s as well. The employee on the phone tells me my doordash driver asked for Barbara’s order and she doesn’t know what happened, I tell her I’m unsure what happened either as I’ve just received the wrong order and want to confirm I can pick up my order of donuts myself. I go and pick up the donuts after clocking out of work, get back to work and about 20-30 minutes after I’ve picked up my order I receive a call back from the shop employee. She tells me she needs me to explain to her boss what happened with my order. That is my problem, it’s not only unprofessional but so against any business protocol that it blew my mind and was actually speechless for a second. I explain to the boss and she just said ok I see. I think an apology would’ve been best at the end of that phone call seeing that I had been nothing but inconvenienced especially receiving a call back from an employee and a manager to clarify a mistake I had no part in making. The donuts were great but don’t know if I can bring myself back with the staff service, who knows how they might handle another issue...

I have been waiting on this place to open for a long time. It did not disappoint now that I had a chance to stop in. The place was immaculate and the donuts smelled heavenly. I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted because they all looked so good. I got the caramel crunch and an apple fritter. The only suggestion I have is more apple on the fritter. But the dough itself on both donuts was fluffy and not dense at all. I prefer that because it should not feel like lead in your belly. The coffee is fresh ground from a local company and it had a really wonderful smell. It had a rich taste and I will be stopping by again in the future. The young woman working was very nice and she was busy cleaning when I arrived. Good to see someone with a good work ethic even when she knows no one...

I stopped in last minute to get 4 dozen donuts for my staff. The person that was helping me was scalding me for not placing a order the day before. Then she refused to give me the glazed donuts say she could only sell me 6 glazed when there was 11.

Long story short I didn't stop in to get a scalding because I didn't order the day before. Ultimately I left with no donuts due to poor customer service. I was there to support a local business.

That person need to be retrained in customer service. I will never stop...
