Tubby's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

Tubbys this is not right yall had to look at this food before you sent it out the door! I asked for wings not fried hard these are hard and black! The phone is always off the hook and it's usually not very busy all the time how does this even happen? The cook had to see my food. I'll be contacting management. Contacted mgr sue on Monday because I was told managers are NOT in everyday. After speaking with her she said they would replace the wings or i could get something of the same value I said ok fine I'll come by when I can pick it up it won't be today so she took my name. I Called before I came exactly 7 days later and it went from yes we will replace it to Take the review down and then you can get your meal. Now that people has really made me not want the food who knows what's going on behind the scenes if they choose to be spiteful or what and who runs their business like this. Yea I'm gonna take it as a loss and that's the sad part that I even have to accept this when i took pictures the customers are always right definately doesnt apply here. They do alot of things but paying attention to your food isn't 1 or honoring their request when they are in the wrong. Once again let down by this location. Sign on the door says open until 8:00, the Open sign is lit up and flashing 'Open.' I walk in and get a very abrupt "We're closed." I ask "but the sign says open until 8?." Again, abrupt and condescending: "we're closed though."

I was just at this location a few weeks ago and had solid service (and after 6 on a Sunday). Unfortunately, two poor experiences mark Tubby's as an "avoid."

Updating my review as my last few visits have gone from fast, attentive service to 'closed' (despite the sign on the window saying 'open' - I was told we closed at 6) to carrying on a personal phone conversation during my entire time in store -- from the time I placed my order until the time I left the store.

Tubby's is expensive - for the cost of the sub/fries I could get more than enough pizza from any pizza joint. After my last three visits, I think it's time to visit this location a little less often than I do.

It's Tubby's -- so you know what you're getting: a fast food sub that's waaaaay above what you're getting at the other place. My biggest complaint is that the sides are just so darn small.

Since I’ve lived in the area forever, this is the most genuine Tubbys, since the one I went to when I was little on Masonic. However, after seeing a grub hub review of someone who didn’t get their order right I felt the need to say something. We’ve recently moved out of the area and I still crave their famous! I have tried calling 3 times over the last six months to place an order and every time, the phone goes to a message “not available” I went in today because I was in the area. Placed an order and asked if they changed their phone number? Was told “they don’t answer it during busy times, and their DoorDash and Grubhub were super busy” meanwhile saw an employee chatting it up for the entire time I waited for my order to be made. The two employees making the meal were super friendly. It left me wondering, why shut your phones off? You have a loyal base that will come and pick up their food, you’re paying extra money for these services that I bet if you add the numbers you’re paying them more than an extra employee.
