My son and I were attending a surprise birthday party in Shelbyville so we decided to grab iced coffees at Cafe Sway. Their location was within walking distance of our destination and I loved how easy it was to find downtown parking (and it was free!). 🅿️
We were greeted immediately by Skylar and provided menus. Their food items were also listed on the wall. We placed our order at the register and then found a couple seats at the bar. In the long dining room I counted five tables and two lounging chairs, plus the bar. 🪑🪑
We ordered:
☕️ Cookies and Cream Iced Latte ☕️ Buckeye Iced Latte
As we got our coffees I was beginning to think that not staying for food was a mistake. 😬 But we made our way down the street to the party on time. 🥳
The next morning I found myself still thinking about their build-your-own nachos. So I grabbed my wife and oldest son and we drove back to Cafe Sway for lunch. 🍽️
We ordered:
☕️ Caramel Brulee Iced Latte ☕️ English Toffee Iced Latte ☕️ Honey, Cinnamon, Vanilla Iced Latte 🐓 BYO Chicken Nachos 🥣 Breakfast Bowl 🐖 Pulled Pork Mac n Cheese
I tried every coffee and found them to be quite sweet and indulgent, which is my preferred style. The included cold foam was a nice touch, as was the variety of flavors. Sugar free options were available for those on restricted diets. 🍫
My nachos were HUGE. I ate until I was full and still left with an entire box of food. Ingredients were fresh and I applauded the use of queso as a binder amongst the layers. Corn and jalapeños? Yes please! 👏
The breakfast bowl was just the right size and combination of hash browns, eggs, bacon, biscuit, and gravy. And its $7.99 price tag didn’t break the bank. 🥓
If you like it saucy then the bbq pulled pork with mac and cheese is your order. The cheesy spiral noodles were the perfect bed for the sweet bbq pork. With a nice little spicy kick, it will quell your hunger...
Read moreI live within a 10minute walk from Cafe Sway and so my partner and I decided on a treat this morning. My first words walking inside were “oh my god it smells like bacon!” Which is such a win. We both got iced lattes (he got mocha and I got thin mint) with oat milk and they were delicious! Perfect flavor profiles! I also got a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit sandwich and it was the star of the show for me. There has to be some sort of magical seasoning used because holy cow, it was the perfect amount of savory. Seriously so good! We will absolutely be back for more breakfast treats. There are so many menu items we want to try! The decor was great, and the armchairs we sat in while waiting were comfy. This is a gem you won’t...
Read moreWe just moved to Shelbyville from Florida and this is the first local place we tried. My friends in town had mentioned how good it is, but let me tell ‘ya words can’t describe how amazing it is. From Skyler greeting us when we came in, to the food lovingly made for us. It is truly like having a meal with friends. Everything we tried was out of this world. If you find yourself in downtown Shelbyville you MUST try this place. But a warning, you will...
