When I first moved too Shiner I thought this was the only Mexican restaurant in town so I'd come here, There was great , fresh tasting , hot food until the staff changed I guess because something definitely changed and the food just went downhill . The enchiladas are my favorite the chili Verde but the beans and rice at times taste spoiled which isn't a good taste , ordered a side of corn tortillas and they were definitely old and I had a fly on one of them that had been smashed I assume when they were rolled too give for the order. Very disappointed that no employee realized there was a dead fly on the food :/ So then I found a place called Mary's Tacos OMG IM OBSESSED!!! Really good breakfast. Clean spot, tasty and fresh. Good dona salsa to boot! They had some great breakfast dishes. My wife had a miga type dish that I can't remember the name of but wish I'd ordered it too because it was so good-Adobe shredded chicken, cilantro, eggs, Cojita cheese, etc. I had some really good breakfast tacos-tacos locos which were huge! Come here every time we are in town! I haven't had a bad experience yet. I did discover they have a variety of no meat dishes. We came in on a Friday during Lent and we were able to just eat seafood dishes, and by the way the shrimp are huge!!!
