Eden Garden Cafe — Restaurant in Shoreline

I stopped here for a quick bite before heading out on a hike in the area, and it was such a charming little spot! The green theme and plants gave it a cozy vibe, and they were playing some great Vietnamese tunes, I had to pull out Shazam! I tried their tofu bánh mì, and it totally exceeded my expectations. Typically, tofu bánh mìs can be on the dry side, but the tofu here was coated in a flavorful sauce that made it juicy and delicious! The pho that came with it had a rich, aromatic flavor that paired perfectly. The bread was fresh with a nice crust, not stale like I've had at other places. I also ordered the Thai green milk tea, which was fantastic! They let you adjust the sweetness to your preference, which was a nice touch. The prices were pretty reasonable too, $12 for my meal and $6 for the drink. The service was excellent, and the young woman who helped us was so friendly. As a Vietnamese person, I was a bit disappointed with the Banh Mi. We enjoy trying different Banh Mi places, but this time we were kind of let down.

First, I will say that the vegetables tasted very fresh and clean, and the side of fries was a generous portion. I got the cold cuts, or traditional Dac Biet, but I felt it was lacking in flavor. I mostly tasted the fresh vegetables, which overpowered everything else. The fries could also use a little bit of salt.

My girlfriend got the roasted pork, and she also felt it lacked flavor. She didn’t think there was enough meat either.

Eden Garden is THE best vietnamese cafe in the Seattle region, do not sleep on the amazing assortment of drinks and the intentionally thoughtful design of this place from start to finish. To wifi passwords on every table, self-serve water, and easy-to-navigate online and in-person menu ordering, Eden Garden sets the standard both front of house and back for a cafe experience. From the rich and bold vietnamese coffee drinks (including the elusive egg coffee) to the refreshing fruitiness of the mango sago smoothie you can't go wrong here.
