Fresh Picked Pizza — Restaurant in Shoreview

I didn't even get to taste the pizza I ordered!!! I was a little pressed for time so before ordering I asked how long before it was done. I was told by the owner it would be 8 minutes..I thought great I got 15 minutes to spare. I ordered a single sausage and he suggested the pizza of the day which was spicy sausage. He gave me a number like the kind you get at Calver's...mine was 81. I sat at the counter, reading the newspaper and waited and waited at least 15 minutes. There was a sports team that had come in and a few had order prior to me and most had come in after me. So when I saw they got their pizza I thought, "I should be getting mine soon." The owner picked up a pizza and went to every table in the place asking if it was their pizza. He never asked me and he walked right by me. I figured he would come over and ask me...he went back behind the counter and set the pizza up on the oven to get stay warm I am thinking. He moved so fast I couldn't get his attention and off he was taking more orders. In the mean time his assistant was doing some prep work and she came over in front of me and I said, "Excuse me do you know when my pizza will be ready?" She said, "What did you order?" "The special of the day." I replied. She went over to the oven looked at two different pizza's that were sitting on top and said, "Oh this must be yours." I said, "Just box it up I don't have time now." Then I decided forget it...it wasn't hot out of the oven, it had passed it way around the restaurant from table to table, I didn't want it. I asked for my money back and got it but with a, "don't you want it, it's really good" Then he asked, "What did you order?" Now I had worked 15 years in the restaurant business and know what it takes to run a place. I have eaten out more then in and only once had I received such poor service. Order number: 40808818 10/12/2015 I (Amber Prairie) had heard that Fresh Picked Pizza has good pizza. You can put an order in online and pay then its ready for pick up. I had ordered 1 almost everything 12” medium pizza for $15.99 and 1 garlic cheesy bread medium for $5.49 plus tax total was $23.01. I had picked up my food right at 6:30 pm on that following day. The bald older guy had given me my pizza but, no breadstick. I asked him where my breadsticks is. Then he said “Well it’s not in the computer” and I replied back “I know I ordered breadsticks let me go to my car to grab my phone.” The guy said back “well it’s not in the computer and our computer can mess up.” Then he ended up re-charging me another $6.00 for breadsticks and waiting 15 minutes. Once I got my breadsticks and my pizza. I went out to my car to grab my phone to show that guy the receipt that I had received. He had printed out the receipt he had. It showed the pizza but, the total was $23.01. Wouldn’t you think he would collect that in his head that a medium pizza doesn’t cost that much!? I did get my money back for getting charged twice for the breadsticks. I wouldn’t go back because he didn’t listen and do the math on his receipt. He wasted my time plus customers are always right. I selected this place due to its location. And was more than pleasantly surprised by its selection its price and the quality of the food. You can spend a lot more and get a much inferior Pizza, actually quite easily. The place is a shotgun probably has seating for twenty-five Max with an additional outdoor seating of 20 and interior hallway of the strip mall seating of another 16. That said it's quiet clean and somewhat elegant. I can respect any place that gives me fresh arugula, more than one sausage choice, more than one sauce in this case more than one white sauce, and more than one red sauce. That you can get a 4 topping 14 in thin crust pizza, for under 18 bucks is actually quite impressive for this Market. The fact that you can get both the quality of ingredients and that price, might make this place unique. They say they've been here 10 years I'm bummed that I just found them. If you are up on this side of the Cities and looking for a quick bite I recommend this...
