Generally love this place, but don’t recommend ordering online. At least not at a later time of night. I got off work late and ordered through the app so I could pick it up on my way home. When I got there and waited for my order, everything seemed fine and the staff was friendly. When they brought it out, the lady who handed it to me was nice and I took my bag and went home. I didn’t check the bag until I parked (my fault honestly), but when I did, literally half of my order was not in there.
Nothing fell out in the car or anything, so I reluctantly called just to see if maybe the rest had been set beside the bag when packing and accidentally left out, but the woman who answered had such a bad attitude and just tried to convince me it was all in there and I was just overlooking it somehow? So I took everything out again and listed each individual thing off as I pulled it out, but she just argued with me and said “well I made it and put it in the bag myself so I know it’s in there.” She did eventually concede and say I could come back up there and get the rest, but not before trying to argue about what the receipt said even though I was looking at it.
I offered to show her the receipt and she did want me to, but when I got there she was nowhere to be seen. The man who was at the counter was much kinder and just looked at the receipt and got me what I was missing without fighting. He was very kind, and every time I’ve seen him he has always been so nice and friendly.
I think the worker I spoke to on the phone (who I assume is who handed the bag off to me) accidentally put some of my order with another to-go order, because the person who was before me ordered one thing and received a bag with multiple boxes stuffed inside. I didn’t think anything of it but when that employee was saying she remembered putting everything in there, it made me wonder. I don’t know if it was an honest accident that she didn’t realize, or if she didn’t want to admit her mistake, but either way she was combative and really had me convinced I was going to lose out on the $20 I spent on the half of the order I was missing
This is the only bad experience I’ve had and it was a few weeks ago, but since I’m taking the time to review all my favorite places I thought I’d share. Read moreI am not one for writing bad reviews, and if this had happened close to home, I would have visited the manager for a discussion. I fondly remember going to Denny's as a boy, even before they changed their name. While visiting Shreveport, we were out late and stopped to get a late-night bite before returning to the hotel. There was one other customer in the building. We stood at the "Wait to be seated" sign for a while because no one was upfront. When we were seated, we waited until we were greeted by our server. The order was two eggs, over easy, bacon, toast, dry with butter on the side, and one order of hash browns and fruit cup. She did not write it down and went to the back. She came back five times to ask questions about the order. Meanwhile, the other server (hostess?) was talking to the other group the whole time. While this is picky, the background music was 1950's and 60's. Cool, that is when Denny's started. But it was too loud, and they only played in 30-second snippets. Very annoying, When the food came, it was wrong, cold, and the toast was swimming in butter. The next time we saw her was when she dropped off the bill. Since we had invested 45 minutes, we ate what we could and left. I hope this was a one-off, but I have doubts. If we revisit Shreveport, we will not be going to...
Read moreThis was the worst meal I have ever had from there..I ordered a T-Bone steak Med Rare and it was completely done..NO pink at all anywhere..(I took pictures to send to the Corporate office).. It was so tough I couldn't even eat it..The cooks need to learn what medium, done and rare, looks like...I had 1 small scoop of mashed potatoes, like a small ice cream scoop and they were dry..We ordered our meal to go and it took 1 hour, ONE HOUR to get our meal..The Manager was cursing about getting their a@@ kicked because they were short handed, as a customer I found that very unacceptable .. They clearly weren't prepared for after New Years customers..The Manager should have been prepared and well staffed..They WERE NOT... A waitress was arguing with a customer over a issue..Shocked is the only word I can say.. A very very poorly run restaurant...The only thing good about the money we wasted on our meal were the shakes..Even though the large was half full, (shakes head) it had a good flavor.. We will never eat there again, unless we decide to eat in and then I can return my food until it is cooked properly..Was not worth the $35.00 we spent..
