Jerry's Pizza — Restaurant in Sioux City

Ok so I want to start by saying my ratings on their pizza is based off my experience of being a new Yorker of the 80's-90's and my international traveling experience to many regions of Italy....multiple times.

If I was being picky, I would rate their pizza a 6 out of 10. If I wanted to be nice I would up it to a 7.

Can't say all of that without a reason right? So I do not live in Sioux City so being the visitor I am I was told through the grape vine that Jerry's and this other place are the two best pizzas you're going to get so I got a little excited and I am glad the people of Sioux City feels this way. So I had to try it.

Anyways, we called in our order.....showed up some 20mins later and out pizza was nowhere to be found. They never made our pizza which means the food we tactically ordered was sitting in our car now getting cold because Jerry's didn't make our pizza for some reason.

So what did they do?

First....the guy took out money for the pizza then went inside (we even told him to keep the change).

Btw....they only do cash/cash app/venmo I think

A few mins after we gave him the money he comes out and offers us a free 2liter soda of our choice within their selection....... Moments after that it comes with our pizza and gives us all of our money back for the inconvenience and that I can stand by! That customer service is why they get 5-stars from me.

Although we didn't complain and bicker about having to wait on a pizza we called ahead to be made so we didn't have to wait for, they stood on business and left us a. Impression that would have me come right back to them just because I appreciate their business practices.

The pizza rated the way I rated it because the pepperoni didn't really have much flavor. The whole pizza didn't really have the flavor I was expecting and it wasn't good reheated despite me using an oven style air fryer to reheat it. It was best when it was hot out of their oven.

Btw ....you guys should offer a hot...

Jerry's pizza west side. We have been ordering pizza from Jerry's pizza for 20+ years. But after tonight i'm not sure if we will be ordering any time soon. The last several time we have ordered we were told 45 min to an hour and that is fine but ends up being almost 2 hours every time. The order tonight was with very specific ingrediants as in ( no green pepers) but the order was changed to combination with green pepers and very under cooked. Not very happy with jerrys lately, so sad to see that they are just not the great pizza...

I took the time to order a pizza for delivery. After placing my order the gentleman tells me it's cash or check and after telling him all I had was my debit card he doesn't say another word just hangs up. No I'm sorry nothing. Talk about rude. Kinda glad I didn't order it now. But it's not my fault I only had $8 cash. It's not like he already made the pizza. Why would he be rude about it? I'll make sure my family in Soiux City never...
