Were it not for the mushy bun and chewy pickles Tastee Inn & Out would have received a much higher score.
Tastee Inn and Out has perfected the art of portability for their loose meats. They package their smaller sized sandwiches in a wax paper envelope type wrapper. They had to, there is no dine in. It is drive thru or walk up. The only thing resembling dine in are the covered picnic tables people can use in the warmer months of the year outside the establishment. But unfortunately the rating is not based on how portable the...
Read moreOn my regular visits to Sioux City, curiosity finally led me to try the local fast-food spot I'd noticed. The highlight? A dish that defies expectations – not your standard burger, but a dry sloppy Joe. The lack of sauce was puzzling until I saw the setup, and the accompanying spoon suddenly made sense, though it left me wishing for more flavor.
Seating is outdoor only, with a few picnic tables if you're keen to dine in the fresh air. The place has potential, but I couldn't help but feel that some lively, old-timey tunes over loudspeakers would've enhanced the nostalgic vibe they're missing.

Read moreThe drive through was super confusing and for the price of the sandwiches there really wasn't that much food. On top of that the guy at the drive through was really rude to us. I've heard nothing but good things and was very disappointed.
Edit: Both myself and my boyfriend went today in the evening (I put lunch because of what we ordered) and were incredibly confused buy the set up of the two drive through speakers, we ended up going to the second one. We had trouble reading the menu and asked a question about the specials, we were snapped at and after a bit of back and forth we were told that the server needed to "give people their food." When we pulled up to the window, we had to back up after pulling forward due to the length of the van, the man who served us was very short with us and unkind. Seemed very annoyed. Looking at other reviews it seems as though I'm not the only one to...
