Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

Usually a big fan, but had a tough visit here in the evening ~730 pm. There was a big concert in our area so things were probably busier than usual but things were far behind. Several frustrated customers. I sat patiently and waited 30 minutes for food. Workers didn’t seem to have any care to pick up the pace. I received the wrong order and simply went to the counter to inform them. Instead of asking who had ordered this the worker just dumped them in the trash in front of all of us waiting. This set some people off. By the time I got my food it was mediocre which is not usual for Slims. Not hot, wrong sauce. I’ll be going back because I’ve usually had good experience here. Slim Chickens is one of the best places to eat at for your chicken cravings! Their chicken tenders are always so juicy and tender! The breading on their chicken has great flavor while not being overbearing or too crunchy. As far as their side options, you can't go wrong with their french fries. The seasoning they use is unique and great tasting. The macaroni and cheese is downright AMAZING!! Simple but creamy, the flavor does not disappoint. Personally, I love slims. Not tonight though. Slims on 10th street told us they were closed when they were indeed not. My hard working husband got off work late, and we wanted some yummy chicken. We hurried here, and got to the drive thru at 9:58. We tried to order, but the lady said VERY rudely, “we’re closed.” We proceeded with “No, it’s 9:59…” and then they ignored us. My husband and I are now starving, with no food at home because I haven’t had time to get groceries with our 5 kids.
