Bruno's Restaurante — Restaurant in Slidell

Terrible 0/10 highly don’t recommend. Wanted to support, but I wouldn’t give them a $1 donation to keep them doors open. My family and I went in for taco Tuesday around 8:00pm and immediately got a bad vibe. They were having karaoke night and the speakers were entirely too loud. It’s a restaurant not a bar, club, or lounge. We sat ourselves and waited over 20 minutes. Wasn’t busy at all. No chips and salsa was brought to us or menus! Eventually the bartender came from behind the bar and asked if we had been taken care of. In the midst of explaining 3 other ppl came in they were greeted and got their chips and salsa along with menus. The bartender took our drink orders(4 frozen margaritas)and walked off. We wait forever just for her to come back with the most watery lime margarita and none of the other 3 drinks. Then come to find out they were out of the flavor we requested and she knew it wasn’t frozen and proceeded to bring it out. Mind you she’s the bartender! One particular older looking lady behind the bar with the crater face, big black hair and smudged lipstick was definitely giving negative energy damn near racist. So they opened this restaurant from a cart, 3 months ago and we decided to give it a try since we live in the neighborhood. I was disappointed with the food though, I ordered nachos with ground beef and the entree barely had any beef, it was more of a vegetarian fare for $14.50. Kids menu was alright and we ordered chicken tenders with fries and quesadilla, which they liked. The waitress didn’t even bring sippy cups/ water for kids and pretty much left it on us to share the water. I mean, who does that? I was disappointed with the food and mediocre service since we even have to ask for water. I will Not recommend this restaurant to anyone and definitely won’t patronize it ever again with better options of Mexican restaurants in Slidell. We spent $50 bucks and even left 15% tip but...

This place needs help. Waitress could care less and food was not good. Not worth it at all. Waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Had to get the menus myself. Drinks took forever and you don't get offered refills or additional drinks. The Waitress only gave adequate service to the Hispanic patrons at the table next to us. There were only 3 tables occupied. I can see why the place was empty. The food was pitiful, the birria burrito was served with gross French fries. I ordered combo C3 and only received 1 item. I had to ask the cook myself for the rest of my order. The Waitress never passed back for anything. I had to go to the bar to ask for and pay my bill. This place won't make it long unless they start caring. Too many other great options in the area. Overpriced for...
