Diggys shaved ice — Restaurant in Slidell

Hands down, number one, numero uno! Best snowballs in Slidell! As a NOLA native, I am a self-proclaimed snowball connoisseur. The ice literally melts in your mouth. No ice crunching.. no chewing.. just spoon and swallow, with just enough juice to compliment your snowball experience! Yes--I concur with all of the other reviews and l listened to them and got a large. It was everything! Beyond my snowball delicious dreams!!! This is my new go-to place from now on.. period!! My only regret is that I am just discovering this hidden Slidell gem and they have been open for over a year! They also offer the best nachos and dessert ice cream treats with all kinds of custom options to suit your incredible sweet tooth! I am praying for my hips but my guilty pleasure will not be denied. However just in case I want to indulge without guilt, any flavor can be made sugar-free!! The staff are amazing, and the place is super clean, colorful and inviting! I am a techy---- and was so impressed with the large tv menus with the decadent menu options to drool over. Do yourself and your kids a favor and run to Diggy's!!! I have to say, me, my husband, and our two friends are new to Louisiana. Me and my husband are originally from Cali and they from Texas, we heard about Italian ice truck from our apartment complex so we decided to go and check it out. I’ve got to say, hands down one of the most fresh, flavorful, and refreshing Italian ice I’ve ever had! Diggy was so sweet and even took some time to talk to us! Later on that afternoon we decided to go to his store for lunch to see what he was talking about and man he was right. The food 10/10! We even got to see the full menu with lots of options of Italian ice, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream , lemonade (which is so so so good!) and snowballs! I love how it’s a black owned business and how nice they are. The store is overall clean and the workers are so sweet. I also loved how the owner himself is so included in his shop and comes in and helps the other workers unlike most businesses. We over all give it a 100000000/10 and 100% recommend any one who lives or is visiting Slidell to come...

When another snoball vendor cancelled on our family reunion just days before the event I was frantic and upset. I searched Facebook for another provider and found great reviews for Diggy's. I called Diggy and spoke to him and his wife about doing the event and I know it was very on short notice. They worked it out for us so that we would still have the snoballs for our guests. Not only did they go above and beyond by doing the event for us but the service and the snoballs were awesome. The flavors and the ice was perfect, lots of syrup and the time it took to make the snoballs was great. Both Diggy and his wife Bridget are wonderful people to do business with, both are so personable and really cared that we would get snoballs for an event that has been in the works for the last year and for cleaning up someone else's mess. They will be the only snoball / milkshake shop in Slidell that I will be a patron of. Please support this local business give them back a little love that they...
