Wine Market Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Slidell

I ate here the other day for lunch while visiting Slidell For business. I have been bragging to my husband about how good the food was. So I decided on the way home today I would get something and bring it home. Well shame on me for not checking it before I left. I thought about it and then I said no it’s not like I’m at a drive-through or anything. So I get home an hour and a half later for I live in another state. And the bread on my sandwich is burnt to a black crisp. You can even smell it burnt now that I’ve opened it. Ugh! I would have never left there with that sandwich looking like that! Ate there for the first time and it’s not on the return list. Our server was good but the steak was not cooked properly the first time. We sent it back and it came back shortly after and still wasn’t satisfactory. We did NOT eat the steak. The “manager”/server should find another job because customer service isn’t her first priority. She has a very bad attitude and wasn’t very presentable. She was very argumentative and defensive and had no solution to resolve our issue. A great experience. We were in a hotel down the road with an open evening, looking for a convenient place to have dinner and drinks. We ordered a mushroom with crab appetizer which was terrific, and a good bottle of wine. Told the server we wanted to have a leisurely evening, and she took the cue. I had the excellent spinach salad and my wife had the soup special; a crawfish cheddar jack soup that we both enjoyed. The brownie a la mode desert was a great finish.
