Best Breakfast We’ve Ever Had! We drove over an hour to eat at this adorable little diner, and it was absolutely worth it. Hands down the best breakfast we’ve ever had! I ordered the Cakes and Eggs breakfast but subbed in French toast instead of pancakes, and let me tell you—the French toast was unbelievably fluffy and delicious, and my eggs were cooked perfectly just the way I like them. Not a single thing I’d change. My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles with a double hashbrown on the side. His waffle was also super fluffy, the hashbrowns were amazing—crispy, golden, and flavorful—and the chicken was hot, crispy, and seasoned to absolute perfection. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of personality. Our server, Mrs. Lara, was the sweetest lady—so friendly and attentive. We were shocked by how fast the food came out, and it was clearly made fresh to order. To top it off, we had a little drink mishap when my boyfriend accidentally spilled his drink. Without hesitation, the staff brought him a brand new chicken and waffles meal just in case any of the drink had touched the food and even offered to move us to a different table. His replacement food was out in less than 10 minutes, fresh off the grill! We also noticed how efficiently they were cleaning and resetting tables right after guests left—super impressive and shows how much pride they take in running a clean, welcoming place. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly, highly recommend...
Read moreThis place has incredible food, I highly recommend it. But please fix the hours on ur website, other than that y’all have fantastic food thank u… update, well my husband and myself went to go eat there since they’ve been staying open all nite, because we get tired of Waffle House, the cook totally seemed like he was high on something it was only us and another table and it took us almost an hr to get our food, the waitress was doing her best to entertain us with refills and conversation because he literally was so high he was very confused. But what got us the most was we were eating finally and we were sitting right next to the bar stools and I saw something in the corner of my eye and I told my husband to look at the bar stool, it had a roach them light brown nasty ones crawling on the seat. Well then we couldn’t eat, at that moment some other people were coming in so I didn’t want to make a big hum bug about it so we got a To go box for our food that we wanted to eat so badly and had to give it to our pup. She loved it of course, and so did we’re up until we seen that Lil creature. We left hungry but happy because the cook was kinda funny to watch and the waitress was very sweet and did her job and some of his also, so we tipped her good and paid for everything we didn’t want nothing free of course. I’m sure they’ve fixed the problem by now because it’s been at 6-8 months since that happen. Other than that we loved...
Read moreThe only true dinner in the area. Easy on and easy off the interstate if your traveling. Very clean, and well run local place. Parking is tight depending on the time of day. Food is pretty good, though I only get breakfast for dinner, the number 11 with American cheese and hash browns. Don’t judge but I usually get a cup of soup as an appetizer. I think they make the soup in house. They play top ten 90s country music on xm which actually works in a chill way. They also have a drive up window but I have never used it, so I would call in advance to see how to order via the window. The milkshakes are made with real ice cream. They only reason for the four stars and not 5 is because their biscuits are nasty. Like chow hall/ airport / prison style, came in a box biscuit, which is even more painful because the south is know for proper, big old fluffy buttermilk biscuits, not clumps of hard paving stones. Don’t get the biscuit. Other then that the place is pretty cool. I would avoid the Slidell TA … it’s dirty. And the awful house is what it is. Big easy dinner...
