I am having an extremely hard time writing a bad review for a place/business that I always seem to Find My Happiness at. I mean how could you not be happy with a fresh Blizzard... One of the Best ways to eat Ice Cream, Except this Horrible, Horrible night that we stopped on our way by. All was going just fine as I ordered 2 large Blizzards, 1 box Sandwiches and a box of Dilly bars. I pay the bill move to the area sanctioned for pick up. I am not waiting too long before the Blizzards came out in a carrier. About 5 minutes later my Dilly Bars are delivered to me. I asked about the Sandwiches and was told that they would be right out.. so I waited, waited and waited then someone else's order comes out. I ask again about my Sandwiches and the fine young people there all repeated the same9 thing over and over and over again.... At this point My Wife is out in the car waiting on me to come out with her Blizzard and what she doesn't know is that I am busy chasing the help around trying to get an answer about my Sandwiches. Finally the nice young fellow who has been bomb barbed with customer after customer taking orders and happens to notice me standing there trying to get someone's attention in the place... At this point its been over 1 hour & 45 minutes and the Blizzards are now colorful cups of milk, not worth drinking let alone eating. Anyway that young man stepped up moved from his position even after being told not to because it was being taken care of. Got the two Blizzards remade immediately plus the correct Sandwiches and Dilly Bars in less then ten minutes. Like it was supposed to be done Not two hours waiting on the left not knowing what the right is doing. Thank God for that Young man with more sense and Pride to jump into action to just take care of it and make the customer Happy. Not running around pointing fingers at each other thinking that was his job not my job... That young man showed he had more awareness of what was going on in the store and customers then the Manager had that day. No questions...
Read moreI feel the need to share this experience I had tonight: after waiting two months inside and craving your company’s blizzards, my family and I went to your East Stroudsburg location. We waited in line for 40 minutes to get our blizzards, and one of them was handed to me and I noticed it was all ice cream and no candy topping mixed in. I went up to the counter to politely and apologetically bring this to the employees attention, and was very sharply put in my place with one of them responded, “it’s there. I see it.” Excuse me? I responded, “I’m sorry but there’s really nothing in here I can’t see any topping and it’s just ice cream in here. Would we be able to have this re-made?” It was not a difficult request. There was no more line of people waiting to order, and I would have patiently waited. But no. I was read the policy of, “you can pay extra for more topping if you want.”
I am writing this as someone who has worked in customer service and food service in 3 different restaurants over the last 8 years. I would NEVER have been allowed to speak to (or ARGUE with) any customer with such dismissal or can’t-be-bothered attitude. I have no respect for any company that allows or enables this behavior with its employees. Also, and most importantly, how DARE your employees treat ANY person this way, especially one who is making a request kindly and without accusation. This is the most important time for food service employees to take initiative and go out of their way to be welcoming and accommodating. To be treated in the manner that i was tonight is entirely unacceptable.
On a more minor but still disgusting note, there were about 12 girls working there tonight but all the trash cans outside were OVERFLOWING to the point that there were piles all over the ground around them. Not the way to welcome back...
Read moreLiving in South Jersey I don't know of any Dairy Queens close to home but since I had to make a trip for business reasons to the area and was on my way home and had received a text from work, I needed a place to pull over and check and answer it plus I wanted something small to hold me over till I could get home and make dinner so I figured why not check out Dairy Queen and hope they are better than your typical fast food joint. Because I was driving a larger vehicle I parked way over on the northeastern side of the building but upon attempting to enter the building saw that the entrance was almost way over on the other side, not a big deal but it might have been nice to know that ahead of time which is why I am telling others now in case there is a need to be closer. As said before in other reviews I am not a big fan of fast food so when I saw the menu I realized that theirs was not much different than those of the afore mentioned with the exception of the prices being higher. I did however see a chicken snack melt that looked good so I got a couple of the barbeque ones and they were pretty good and held me just fine for the 4 1/2 hour drive home. If in the area again and needing a snack I would at least consider stopping again although I might like to try out another place possibly one where I can sit and eat a regular meal that will keep me from having to go home and cook a meal unless my kids need me to do so but who knows as I don't know when I will...
