Too bad you can't give a "0" or "minus" stars rating. First time eating there in several years. Got the ABC on rye. The person who brought my food to the table also brought a napkin which was very spotted; looked like grease stains as though someone's food had sat on it. The picture on the menu looks to be about two inches thick between the bread, but mine MAY have been 1/4-1/2 inch, and out of all the meats supposedly on it, much of the thickness was only cheese, lettuce and onions - it did not even have a full coverage of meat, even though it was only less than 1/2 inch thick combined. It's a good thing I opened the sandwich to see what was on it since it looked pretty much like bread with lettuce in between, because upon opening it, I found hair. When I closed it back up and moved it on the plate to make room to open the other half, I found hair under the sandwich on the plate as well. I didn't bother opening the other half. I took the meal back to the counter and asked for my money back, which was refunded after giving ME some lousy looks as though I had done something wrong. As I was hitting the front door, I realized the manager had only refunded $7.20 of the $9.20 I paid for the sandwich - I guess he held out his profit. I didn't bother to go back to the counter to ask for my other $2 - I figure that's a small price to pay to get such good information on the first trip. Even without the hair, the sandwich was a joke - there were literally a few nickel to quarter sized 1/4 inch thick pieces of meat next to some cheese and lettuce and onions - nowhere near a passable sandwich, much less a "multi-meat" sandwich. Don't waste your time, your health...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm so frustrated & disappointed, I don't even know where to start. ABC has always had incredible food in my own opinion - I would end up there at least once a week. The Baja Chicken Enchilada Soup was was sealed it for me - I have not shut up about this soup, LOL! Unfortunately I became Disabled after a TBI & was forced to stop working, & since there isn't an ABC within an hour of my home, I sadly get very few opportunities to enjoy it anymore. Except today. I had been browsing the menu & noticed they stilled offered my treasured soup, so I marked its designated day on my calendar, arranged & paid for an Uber (since I'm to unable to drive) to the nearest location to me - 45 minutes away - and even CALLED the restaurant to double check at 10am, alls good š Except when I get there, pay for my oder, and then have the man tell me they didn't take it out that day, they took 2 chicken chili's instead, and to pick another or get a refund. I started to protest, reminding him of my DOUBLE checking by website AND call to the restaurant, and he says that he's the one who usually answers the phone and he didn't recall speaking to me. I had the call pulled up on my phone so I'm not sure what was being insinuated. But I got to spend $40 today on disappointment. It'll be a very long time before I allow myself to hope to try some nostalgia again, because this experience will ALWAYS Unfortunately be at the forefront of my mind. I'm aware this this is not a big deal in the full scheme of things, but it's certainly poor Customer Service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate 10/11/21 My belief is that one should not post only negative reviews but positive ones too. This is a positive review. Last week , I ordered lunch via phone for pick up. There were problems with the order. This week I spoke to the manager. She listened to my concerns and was very apologetic. She replaced the meal as well as offered dessert and drink. To me, this is great customer service!!
I recognize that in a time where staff is limited things will happen but at the same time if you don't get the meal for which you paid, it kinda doesn't make your meal pleasant either.
Kudos Atlanta Bread for turning a negative situation into a positive!! I will continue to be a returning customer.
My first meal of the day ( at 3:30 pm ), had me walking into Atlanta Bread for takeout. This location is clean. Friendly counter staff. I ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and onion with spicy mustard. I requested a change of bread to honey wheat. The sandwich came with chips and a pickle. Meal.came as ordered. Pricing was reasonable. I was thanked and wished a nice day. Atlanta Bread reminds me of Panera with the sandwich, salads, dessert and bread offerings. The cleaniness, friendly staff and menu are inviting....
