Bojangles — Restaurant in Smyrna

My experience here was terrible. The worker in the drive-thru was extremely rude and could not take the time to listen to the full extent of my order. If Bojangles is your last resort and choose to go through the drive-thru then make sure you speak very, very slow. Not only that, but when I received my order and took it home I realized it was not what I ordered. After calling the restaurant and letting the manager know of my situation, the only way he would address it was to give me free food and make excuses for the employees. The management here is such a joke, fast food or not, a job is a job and most good managers would uphold their employees to certain standards, especially when it comes to customer service. So, today I took up the offer to give them a second chance, low and behold, I received the exact same treatment from the exact same people. I used a coupon for a buy BOGO free chicken tender meal. The cashier was friendly and the service was rather fast. I did not get sauce because I always say "if the chicken is good enough, who needs sauce". Apparently you do at Bojangles. The cuts are not very even, having a thick end and thin end, which causes the chicken to cook unevenly. There was a little kick to the breading but not enough to flavor the meat well. The thick side is still somewhat tender but not necessarily moist. The thin end is rather dry and a little tough. Even with a coupon, I do not see myself going back for tenders. Either they were cooked too much, or cooked in advance. At those prices, I would prefer to spend a few dollars extra and get good tenders with the extra service of a sit down restaurant. Stopped by on the way home to Georgia, the drive-thru lady was extremely rude. Rushing me through my order while trying to determine what two hungry kids and my wife would like. Had to say "I'm not done yet" more than once. I couldn't handle it and went to the window. There I ordered my last item and told her that she didn't give me a chance to finish. She just stared. We had to pull forward to wait and my wife went inside to get straws and wait for the food. The bad attitudes continued inside. I don't expect much anymore from foodservice since Covid hit but don't be angry with people who are just trying to get a bite to eat. We have not caused the problems...
