Happy Fast Food — Restaurant in Smyrna

Everyone makes mistakes, but this is horrible. The oil used to fry the food… chicken, rice, egg rolls, and doughnuts was old and stale. Asked for hot mustard in two different places on our order, yet none. This place used to be the best in the area for excellent Chinese food (except their fortune cookies have always been generic and gross).

Unfortunately, they’re spiraling down in quality the last few times we’ve gotten takeout from there and it just isn’t what it used to be. Such a shame the quality has gone down the way it has. Today was my last time to order from there again; couldn’t even eat more than a few bites it was so disgusting. Tasted like plastic that had been recycled into rice (which was incredibly greasy), the chicken had a funny odor to it and the egg rolls tasted like old frying oil. Just...

I dont know how this place gets rave reviews. We have ordered out from here multiple times and ordered multiple items each time (it's the closest chinese place to our house). There is very little flavor. Aside from the curry chicken, one dish tastes like another with little to differentiate them flavor wise. In order to make it taste good i have to end up adding more soy sauce, hoisin sauce, wasabi powder, you get the idea. As for fresh... sometimes yes sometimes no. When your general tsos chicken is soft and soggy not slightly crunchy like fried coated chicken should be...... not appealing. Such a super special takeout joint in Smyrna Tennessee. The food is wonderful the portions are humongous sometimes I count them as groceries when I pick up a lunch special. A hot sour soup is probably the best ever had in my life. Even the small dining area is filled with a relaxed elegant ambiance. I'm always kind of curious why this restaurant is it busy all the TimeIf more people knew about it I think it would be harder to pick up my meals and 15 minutes.
