Pho24 holds a special place in my heart as a neighborhood gem that I've frequented multiple times. Located conveniently close to my house, it's a quintessential mom and pop eatery that offers a delightful taste of Vietnamese cuisine.
The standout feature of Pho24, as the name suggests, is their pho selection. It's a haven for pho enthusiasts like me, with a variety of options to satisfy every craving. From the rich, aromatic broth to the tender slices of meat and perfectly cooked noodles, their pho never fails to impress. It's comfort food at its finest, especially on chilly evenings or when you're in need of a comforting bowl of soup.
However, what sets Pho24 apart is its versatility. For those who aren't in the mood for soup, there are plenty of other delectable options to explore. The fried rice dishes are a delightful departure from the usual, boasting a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The sandwiches, too, are a hidden treasure; their banh mi sandwiches, in particular, are a symphony of flavors with the right amount of crunch and zest.
The food at Pho24 is nothing short of amazing, but it's worth noting that they might be a bit short-staffed at times, which can lead to longer wait times for service. However, the staff that is there works diligently to ensure your dining experience is as pleasant as possible.
As for the ambiance, it's very much in line with the mom and pop spirit of the place. You won't find lavish decor or a flashy atmosphere here, but that's part of its charm. It's a cozy, unpretentious spot where the focus is squarely on the food and the community it serves. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a hearty meal without any frills, a true reflection of authentic, homey dining.
In conclusion, Pho24 is a beloved neighborhood haunt that serves up a mouthwatering array of Vietnamese cuisine. It's a place where the love and care put into the food shine through in every bite. Whether you're a pho aficionado or simply seeking a comforting meal, Pho24 has something for everyone. While it may not offer a fine dining experience, it excels in delivering soulful, delicious food that keeps you coming back for more. It's a hidden treasure for those in the know, and I consider myself lucky to have it so...
Read moreThe food is great here. However the service leaves a lot to be desired. The first time we went it took the a long time to seat us, even though there was only a couple of other tables. Getting someone to take our order was also lengthy wait. Once we got our order the food was fantastic. The waiter did not seem too happy to be there. The second tine it was WORSE. It seemed like every table was dirty. We finally got sat. The same waiter as before came to take out order and again he seemed disinterested in being there. My order the rolls for an appetizer and Beef Pho. My father and I ordered the vermicelli chicken and TEA W/ Lemon. we received our entrees after a lengthy wait. When we received our beverages (after our entrees) Both me and my fater received Arnold Palmers no Iced teas w/ lemon. We had to ask both our waiter and then again another waiter about the appetizers. It was never placed. We finally received them at end of meal. no apologies or nothing. This is such sad service nd loss of customers. I love Pho but will be looking else...
Read moreLast September, I was coming back from an even a little bit after lunchtime and decided to try out the new Pho place. I love PHO!
As I entered, there were very little customers dining. I was seated shortly and waited for a server. and waited....and waited. Right about 7 minutes I asked the hostess to see if I could get service. She said it would be shortly.
5 minutes later there was still no service. not even a water. I did notice a bus boy SLOWLY clearing out a table. SO, 15 minutes in a non-busy restaurant and no service. I got up and walked out. I stopped only to let the hostess know that they would not do well if this is the service they provide to their customers.
Fast forward a week ago. My brother decided to go and "give them another chance". He had less patience with them as he is a Restaurant manager himself and walked about with the same experience. He later called PHO 24 and gave them the feedback. They seemed unconcerned.
If you want PHO, go to Pho Hoang Long off Pat Mell road. Better prices , quicker service, better...
