I really wanted to like this place. I waited for months for it to open because I live in the houses in the same plaza (Belmont). Hopefully, this review will help future patrons coming in. First, food was good 4/5 stars. No complaints with the food. Service on the other hand was awful to be honest. Coming into the establishment for the first time I would like to see the front people who are there to take your order be more helpful. I didnt know exactly how to order because it was my first time there. I was thinking I could order a large pizza and share it with my wife. But the concept is individual pizzas. Ok, cool! How many topings do I get? I still dont know. Can I split toppings half/half? No one knew. My point being let people know from the start how to order and what you get. Second, its kids working there, so I'm not going to be to uptight about smiling and greating and pretend they are happy to be there. However, if you are interacting with me, paying for starters, make conversation-smile, say anything. We sat at the bar because we wanted to drink. Good selection of beer. But no one knew who the bartender was. People were talking about serving us drinks but no one either knew how to or whos responsiblity it was. The manager (younger black guy) ended up doing it was I overheard him telling another associate that he was not doing that again. I stopped after one beer after I heard that. I'm not saying he was rude, but I am saying that he, as the manager, needs to present himself a little better. Pick up the slack with a happy face. Wear all the hats in the establishment. It seems he just wanted to dictate and not help. Final note, if you guys can get your customer service up and make the place an enjoyable unique place to visit you will do well. Managers make it mandatory for your employees to interact, smile, make conversation, let cusotmers know how the resteraunt works, give free samples of the Gelatto (I tried to get one but couldnt get anyones attention), have the bartender there to serve drinks and have fun. I wanted to taste a few of the other beers but left unsatisfied and we ended up walking over to stout brothers in smyrna market village instead. I will try again eventually after they work some kinks out. Thus, food 4/5 stars experience/customer experience 2/3. Hope this helps I really want this place to do good!!!!!!!!!And I want to reiterate the manager and staff were somewhat friendly. But it being such a new place you need to create that WOW experience to get people back. Its pizza!! so customers like myself will only come back for the experience and that starts with...
Read moreMy husband went into the restaurant to get pizza and ordered 3 pizzas. When he was trying to tell the employee to put vegetables on the pizza, they were putting literally 2 pieces of each veggie on the pizza, so he had to ask them multiple times to put more veggies and yet they didn’t do it and then the manager came out and said that” more toppings are ruining the oven and so specifically asked the employee to not put more veggies on. When I saw the pizzas at home and literally could count on my fingers exactly 2 pieces each of broccoli, mushrooms, olives, onions, sundried tomato, spinach etc. I was really disappointed and disheartened at this picture. I asked my husband if he didn’t ask them to put more toppings as we have never had this problem with your pie before at any location and have always gotten plenty of toppings as we are vegetarian. However my husband told me this whole story and I was so upset that I had to call the manager and talk to them about this. When I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, the lady on the phone handed it to this person who then proceeded to tell me that the manager was not there. This was a complete lie because he had literally spoken to his employees in front of my husband 20 mins before this. So at a store where the manager himself outright lies to a customer on the phone , it just shows how much they do not care about customer service or listening to their customers or improving their business. Especially at a store where the manager is asking all his employees to intentionally put the least amount of toppings possible to save money. And then on top of that the kind of rudeness that continued on from this manager over the phone was just overwhelming and absolutely unbelievable. He didn’t care about listening to any of what I have to say, didn’t apologize, didn’t say that this wouldn’t happen again, absolutely nothing good, and on top of that started yelling at me that they made the pizza how my husband ordered it. When I told him I would be leaving this review, he said “ go right ahead, I don’t care”. So this is the kind of experience we had at this store. The absolute worst and we will never go back here and would tell anyone we meet to never go...
Read moreEach time I visit, I notice a consistent lack of generosity with the toppings. They literally count the pepperoni on the pizzas, often resulting in just one piece of meat per slice. I’m not suggesting they should overload the pizza, but it would be reasonable to have enough toppings to adequately cover it.
Yesterday, when my family and I went there, I was preparing to pay and opened my app to redeem some rewards. I discovered I had a birthday reward for two scoops of gelato, which was set to expire in ten days—great! As I was about to redeem it, a young man who noticed this suggested we handle the rewards first and save the gelato for last. After scanning and paying, I attempted to go back to my birthday offer, but it had vanished. The young man and I were both puzzled; he tried to check my app for the offer and then called over the manager. She informed me that the reward had expired and mentioned that I couldn't use it with the children's meal, which already included a scoop of gelato.
I attempted to clarify that I was aware of the situation and that the gelato was part of my birthday reward, but unfortunately, the manager offered no assistance. I want to clarify that I'm not attempting to sound prejudiced or derogatory; culturally speaking, the atmosphere there feels unwelcoming, and they seem overly focused on profit.
Despite my personal discontent with the establishment, it remains the nearest location, and my children enjoy it. I felt this was an opportunity to genuinely satisfy a customer and enhance their experience. After all, how detrimental could two small scoops of gelato be to their...
