Found this place online and came here with a group to watch the game. I knew they had just opened, so I was prepared to bring my patience. Overall, it was a good experience. The main dining, bar, and outdoor spaces are nice. Ample TVs for game days. And they have room to add more in the near future. Bathroom was clean and stocked. It didn't take us any time to get seated and they had no problem splitting checks. I admire the local beer list. Despite the learning that everyone is going through at the place, I figure I'd call out a few major ones from our night: Where's the phone number? I get that it can be annoying and maybe distracting at times. But if I'm looking at bringing a large party your way to watch the game, it would've been helpful for both of us to call ahead, right? I submitted the form on the website, but what's the turnaround time on that? One of us didn't get our food. We assumed it was never entered, but the bill did have it when we were ready to go. That's kind of a big breakdown in the system, right? The amount swiped was not the amount of the check. I'm not entirely clear on this one, but it sounded like the waitress wasn't the one running the card. She seemed to have recognized the mistake, but now you have to re-run the card and I have 2 holds on my account. I think this was a one-off mistake. If I could, here's a couple of tips to the team: I'm hoping the team gets more comfortable being on the floor. I felt like the "safe" place for new service industry workers is out of sight of their guests, but you'll have no idea what's going on if you don't keep an eye on us. There were times where we waited 10-15 mins to order another drink. (It's game day and we're winning...we want to keep 'me coming) Or to bring up that something was up with the check. If we can see you, you can see us and we'll feel the love. I like the menu. I would recommend pointing out the vegetarian/GF items. And as a personal note, those Sysco/Gardenburger veggie burgers are a disappointment. You guys did a great job with the menu, but then you stuck a grilled Gardenburger in it. That guac veggie burger wasn't terrible, but it would've been 100% better if you had a housemade veggie patty.
I can see this place doing well as a neighborhood tavern. A friendly and attentive staff is the key, I think even more so than the food. Looking forward to the next visit,...

My boyfriend, his friend, and I came here yesterday. Immediately upon walking into the establishment, the hostess was not very welcoming, but sat us towards the front. I get it- hostess doesn't want to be there, so why even smile when guests arrive?
We're seated and wait a few minutes for our server, a quite young girl who can't be a day over 17 with dark hair. I believe her name was Maria. Maria took our drink order and didn't return for a good 10-15 minutes. Not like the restaurant was busy anyways- a nice dinner "rush" with a small handful of tables occupied and 3 servers on the floor.
We made our food order and I requested the impossible burger without the brioche bun and a house salad. I explicitly asked if the burger had cheese or any condiments, since I can't have dairy, and I asked for my salad with no dressing. Upon receiving my salad, I saw there was cheese and had to return it and explained I can't have cheese (I mean- I even inquired the girl if there was cheese on the burger; it would've been nice to have been asked about the cheese on the salad or even the menu explaining what's on their house salad.)
She quickly brought out a new salad, but upon a few bites found bacon bits. Who puts bacon in simple, lettuce and tomato salad? This was quite alarming since I can't have meat (thus ordered the only veggie burger.) In addition to this, it felt like a slap to the face to any other guests who can't consume pork, whether for health or religious reasons.
The highlight of the experience, in my opinion? Probably our unexpected guests- the dead fruit flies.
I usually don't like leaving reviews and would rather bring it to a manager's attention, but it was so horrendous, I think it needs...
Read moreI had the most abhorrent experience at Creatwood Tavern. We have been patrons to the restaurant since it opened but I cannot in good conscience ever go again! I do not say this lightly and I am NOT the type of person to post negative reviews. I honestly just don’t have the time or patience but this experience pushed me to my limits.
I was walking up to the restaurant with my family and close friends and their children. My son touched the post for the handicap parking spot. The post fell over almost hitting my neighbor. Creatwood Tavern’s GM ran out immediately accusing my son of knocking the post over. My neighbor tried to explain and the GM was immediately accusatory. Two women, complete strangers, saw the incident and tried explaining what they saw, which was exactly what my neighbor described - my son touched the post and it fell over. This post should have been cemented into the ground. A grown man should not have been able to move it much less a kid.
The GM yelled at all of us (including the two women that were not even with our party) and told us to leave and that he would not serve us.
The whole experience was baffling! My son wasn’t being destructive. He was simply being a kid that can’t help touching things. This post was a safety hazard! If the restaurant knew it was unsafe they should have moved it or at the very least posted a sign. It was also outside and was not a part of the restaurant.
The GM’s reaction was just bizarre. Rather than coming out to make sure no one was injured, he immediately started accusing kids and then yelled at adults who were calmly explaining what happened and defending my child. This behavior was not okay!
The mediocre food is not worth the lack of respect for...
