I've been a regular for a year now. I bring my family from out of state here all the time because I love it. We never complained about the lack of space or long wait times. We would work around that and come during slow times of the week. But today, I had the worst experience and I will never return again. I was DOUBLE charged for a kids French toast after they forgot to bring it out. We asked someone to check if it was coming out, and she probably just said it was about to come and never checked. We asked a THIRD time for it and it still never arrived. Only until we had finished eating, the waitress put it down just to pick up our empty plates. then I asked to get it taken off the bill. The waitress said yes immediately. I went to pay for my check a little sad that my family from Virginia and Chicago did not experience this place like it deserved. And of course, it was still on the bill. They then discounted $1 dollar and then added a side of French toast. This was either very sneaky or so badly managed. Whatever the reason, there is no excuse. I kept my old review so you know they will do this to familiar and loyal faces. I'm so heartbroken at this treatment. I saw the bad reviews and couldn't believe they could be so inconsistent. But they are.

Old review: Ah, Cocol, this place took my breath away. The decor is so authentic, simple, and stunning. It was calm inside and clean. The service was spectacular. But of course the highlight of it all, the coffee and food! Ugh. So fresh! Perfectly crafted! I'm practically speechless. I'm incredibly glad to have this place in Socorro. I will be a regular for the...
Read moreWent to CoCol today to do café things at what I thought was a café. I'd never been there before. My husband and I sat at a very small four seater table in the back because we were going to take an online class so we brought our laptops and needed space to put our computers down while having coffee and café pastries. Well, we were asked to move to an extremely small two seater table because they "get very busy on Saturdays and need the table for larger parties". There was absolutely no wait at the time and the table we were at would have been empty once we moved. Well, we sat at the smaller table but there was barely enough space for our computers and definitely not enough space to also eat. I informed the waitress that there wasn't enough space, asked if we could move back to the table where we were and she said no. She also informed us that there is a one hour limit on laptop usage. I knew our class would be longer than that. We left and just went to Starbucks. I did ask when we got there if it was more of a café or more of a restaurant because there were people sitting at tables with menus so I thought maybe it was more of a restaurant in which case I know laptop things aren't really what you do there. They said it was kind of both so thought it would work but clearly not the type of place I thought it was. So, if anyone thought it was a loungy type place where you could go and get some laptop work...
Read moreYou must go check this place out! It it well worth the drive! The food is great and so is the coffee. They have a good amount of seating, and each table had a purse hanger along with fresh flowers. We went during the week and they were busy but the wait wasn't too long to get our food. The building itself is beautiful and just over 100 years old! As soon as you walk in, you are surrounded by succulents and cacti in various pots. Everywhere you look, there's something unique to see. You will see a live saguaro right outside the building, which is a great spot for selfies, but don't touch it! We tried the abuelita and mazapan latte. Both were good, but the mazapan had the best flavor, and it had mazapan crumbles on top! The quiche was good, but adding bacon made it a little more filling. The Chris P Bacon croissant was pretty good, too! The tortilla soup was different but fresh and tasty! Can't wait to see if they'll expand their food menu and hours. For the restrooms, you'll need to walk outside and go to the left. They have a diaper changing station in one of the stalls. We had a great time and will come back to try lunch!...
