Honey Hut Ice Cream — Restaurant in Solon

This has been my favorite Ice Cream since I was a little kid. Year after year I feel the excitement for when they open in the spring season and the sadness when they close for the winter. Every time I go not matter what I get or tried I always love the Ice Cream it is the absolute best. There is a kinship with people who have had Honey Hut Ice cream everyone who has had it loves it and loves talking about it I always feel a bond when I talk to someone about it.

The Solon parlor used to be my favorite it was filled with chalk boards that you can tell someone had fun being creative writing all the menu items on it was decorated and personal. They had a little chalk board for kids to write on while they enjoyed their ice cream and a huge map where people could post picture of them with the Honey Hut bee from all around the world. There was so many little personal things all around the store that made every time you went there feel like you were come back to a cozy home fulled with memories of joy.

This year "2019" they got rid of all of those intimate things now it just feels like another place you can go to and get a good treat. I don't feel like it's being against change or something to get used to. All of those little pieces of personality are gone and replaced with sleek digital screens. I feels like meeting a friend that you used to be so close to after years and not talking an understanding the person you once knew isn't there anymore.

I still love Honey Hut and always will but going there has gone from a Joyful experience to just...

What ever happened to customer service? I placed an online order for my son and I, and arrived promptly to pick up our items in 15 minutes. Since I was able to park directly in front to see inside (plus prepaid for the order) I sent my son inside to pick up. My son waited in line behind the customers that were paying for their items. Another couple walks in, and we're immediately greeted by the cashier skipping over my son. My son becomes frustrated and comes out saying, I don't know what to do the people just cut in front of me. I go in myself...there is a lady counting cash at the register. No hello I'll be right with you....absolutely nothing. I stood there for about 3 more minutes. Then already agitated because of how my son was treated, I asked for my order. This was very poor customer service in my opinion. I have been going to this place since they opened and have never seen them treat customers this way, but this is totally...

The ice cream was great. But at first glance the store seemed closed. There wasn't any staff that we could see at the counter or anywhere inside. The lights were on and it was about 3:00p in the day. We cautiously pushed the door opened and the young staff started filing out of a back room. When I said to one of the workers 'we thought the store was closed' she said, "the open sign was on". Their customer service was not good. I've come to that location before. I don't like that particular Honey Hut because of the staff. I usually go to the one on State Rd. which is great.
