China Cook Restaurant — Restaurant in Somerdale

This has become our new favorite Chinese restaurant! Prices may be a little higher than other restaurants around but the quality and the quantity of food are outstanding. Deff worth it! This is our second time ordering and we wanted to try something different. The Fiancé order beef Lo-mein, I order a MaLa Dry pot with chicken, baby corn, carrots, broccoli, cashews, pineapple, lo-mein and fried rice and sesame seeds. This was my first time ordering this plate, and let me tell you it was huge!! For $15 this plate can easily feed 4 people. I took some for me and my 6 year old and there’s still enough for 3 people. The picture was after dinner and does not include the rice that came with it. The chicken was tender, the broccoli was crispy and the pineapple was sweet. If you have never had fried pineapple and cashews rice you should definitely try it from China Cook. We also order cheese wontons and they were sweet and crunchy. Delicious! The spring rolls are freshly fried and have great flavor. The chicken and cheese roll was really good. We spent around $38 but the food is worth it. Amazing food. The young boy behind the counter is incredibly sweet and pays attention to detail. I get the same thing Everytime, but by my 2nd or 3rd time in, he remembered my order which impressed me. There are other businesses I've been to plenty of times that don't remember my name or order,(which I don't expect them to) but this place is very different, they will make it a point to remember their customers and what they like. Very happy to see the type of customer service given here. I don't live in the area, but have been working nearby for a short while and have told many people of this place. I live about 40 minutes away, but will make it a point to come back due to amazing, fresh, prideful food, and incredible customer service. Owners should be very proud of the business...

What a Super Nice Family! I was looking for a new place & I think I found it. The customer service provided by the young man behind the cashier counter was awesome! He was so very accommodating-letting me know about updates not on the menu yet, made sure my can sodas weren’t just crammed into the one bag to fit, very personable, totally a PLEASURE to deal with! The food is so fresh tasting & delicious, generous portion with such a fare price-WOW (I did do some comparison checking before I placed my order). I do have some picky critics in the family & they had nothing but great things to say. I will for sure be going again, as I stated up top.....I found our new family “Chinese Take Out NIGHT” spot.
